DO NOT let your animal be seen by Dr. Kelly Gelderman at Hatton Veterinary Clinic. Worst experience. Brody has a cherry eye that is getting worse, that I felt should be look at. My son was repeating what she was saying and getting little excited, not interfering with the exam. I could tell she was getting annoyed with him. I said "please ignore him, he is autistic, I am listening." She then talked a little more about my dog's eye and then told me that I should have left them at home (yes, in front of the them). I told her that I am a single mother that has a dog, who is like a kid to me, with what could be an emergency. She rolled her eyes and said "well I can discuss it with you over the phone, I guess." That is when I told her "no that is ok. I can tell you have no compassion for kids, so I am sure you would be the same with my dog. I do not feel comfortable with you seeing him. I think we should leave." I do not want anyone leaving in tears like I did.

Dr. Kelly Gelderman is the shining star of Hatton Vet Hospital located on Sheldon Rd in Elk Grove. After interviewing countless vets in the area, she has been fabulous to work with. Compassionate and on top of her game, you couldn't find a better vet in the Elk Grove area. I have three golden retrievers and one bernese mountain dog, they have thrived under her care.
