Dr. Long is insensitive to the client, although he does care about the animals. He is extraordinarily judgmental and often gets "it" wrong, without apology. He does not listen well, nor get an accurate history, and then proceeds to berate the client. At this point in time I have a cat doing very poorly, which he claims is a healthy cat. The cat has been deemed almost anorexic by another vet and is extremely thin. Dr. Long said he was overweight. The cat is rail thin, won't eat much for 25 days now, and won't drink, yet he says there is nothing wrong. He aggressively told me to "prove it," in regards to him needing hydration, as prescribed by my other vet, since the cat had not had anything to drink in over 72 hours and was very dehydrated. Dr. Long is confrontational, combative without cause, and generally, a very unprofessional man, in my opinion. i would not recommend this vet if you are looking for a respectful interaction and the best help to save your animal's life.
