Click to report rating    8/9/15   1     4     1     3   Duck died from a COMMON predicament due to the ineptness of avian staff. She had the bad luck of falling ill on Thurs night -their only qualified avian vet Harrington isn’t available except Mon–Thurs. The ER vet Damon was supposed to have some experience but was unable to determine why duck wasn’t eating and sent us home for observation and syringe feeding. No follow up call was placed to me as promised. 3 days later Harrington determined through tests that duck probably had an egg stuck up inside; delayed treatment until Wed.his “surgery day” even though she had a putrid gray fluid inside. Duck passed on Tuesday. Very reliable resources report that being "egg bound" is common and that surgery would be a last resort. You can even treat this condition yourself in early stages. I am sick. Googling “duck not eating” readily points to being egg bound and treatments. I took duck to this vet clinic twice and both times we walked away without treatment! Just shameful! Poor duck; heartbroken. RID: 57987
Click to report rating    4/9/15   2     2     1     2   Most of the staff are great. Intern vets are euthanasia happy. Hospital Admin is not attuned or even educated in regards to pets or the computer system there. The admin does not appear to own or even care for animals regardless of his having been in 4H RID: 56583

Click to report rating    10/30/06   5     5     5     5   He is one of the Best Avian Vets in Southern Arizona. He and his vet tech are extremely knowledgable when it comes to parrots. I run an Avian Rehoming org and all the birds go to him only! RID: 336
