I took my 20year old cat there to be euthanized. He was my best friend. It was hard enough to have to do that but what I experienced there was horrifying ! They didn't do things properly. I saw my best friend gasp for air, drooling and laying with his eyes wide open ! I thought he was dead ! That was the setitive! Then they left me in there for what seemed like forever and carried his limp body out of the room to insert the catheter ! It's regular practice that you take the animal to the back to receive the setitive because of that ! When they bring the cat back to you the eyes and mouth are closed. Then administer the lethal injection. It was absolutely devastating !!

Brought our dog there misdiagnosed cataracts as being pink eye then messed up an appointment and was not able to see my dog who needed care. They got their money from us with meds for the eye boy was it expensive and unfortunately did not help. Staff are well trained at dealing with angry customers though.....wonder why.

Dr. Shand saw my cat on an emergency visit. I specifically voiced my concerns about a possible heart or kidney problem. After a cursory exam she diagnosed him with constipation due to hairballs, even though I said he never has hairballs. The next day at my cat was still vomiting, rolling on the kitchen floor in pain, staggering around and he almost fell into his water bowl. I took him to see my regular vet who diagnosed him with a blocked urinary tract. His bladder was the size of a pear and levels of toxins in his blood were off the charts. Immediate surgery was required - he was put on a catheter - his blood was full of urine. Eventually, he had to have a cystotomy and a urethrostomy. I'm really angry at this vastly inappropriate diagnosis -- blocked urinary tracts are very common in older males cats. She didn't even order a blood test! If you have an emergency, call ahead to see who is there. If it's Dr. Shand, don’t go there! Still waiting for a full refund.
