This place only cares about your money. They will charge you for unnecessary things. Your pets life’s are meaningless to there vets and are trained to scam all you money at once. I spend all my saving and my bird still passed away. They didn’t even care that my bird passed away and they only what me to pay the $1000 bill and kept my dead bird as ransom until I paid in full.

I was there last April 2019 . The vet came in late. We had a bird The vet was very indecive what was going on and she had to give a phone call at home to let us know about the bird. I paid over a 100.00 for the visit. The bird ended up passing away four months later. I think ir could of been better judgement at the time.

I take my birds here and over all I am satisfied ! It is a bit pricey and the vet I see, Dr.White, isn't super friendly but it is worth it since she is very knowledgable. My biggest concern is for my birds health so as long I am getting reliable information and know my birds are healthy, then I am happy. :) The other staff I have met are friendly so that's a bonus ! They have some safe toys and foods to buy there as well which is nice.

We have been taking our dog to this veterinary clinic for years and the service was always excellent and we always asked for Dr. Kristen Jacques because she was fabulous with our beloved pet. Our dog Emma was mistrusting of all vets due to a very bad experience early on and Dr. Jacques won her over! Recently, we had to euthanize Emma at the age of 16 and even Dr. Jacques was emotional on the day that we lost her. We received a card shortly afterwards written by Dr. Jacques herself talking about how wonderful it was for her to know Emma and the family and how sorry she was to see Emma pass on. It was a beautiful gesture and meant a lot to us. We have always been treated with respect and Emma has always been treated with care. The costs are fairly high but it's worth it for the kind of care my dog received.

The front desk staff was very good, but the vet herself was VERY VERY cold. Based on her demeanour, coupled with the amount of money I was charged for what I considered to be minimal service, I left feeling very unsatisfied. I would never go back.

After a heartbreaking experience with Creditview Animal Hospital and subsequent near death of my rabbit due to indifferent veterinary care/advice, I've been taking my rabbits to BRITANNIA for over 20 years and wouldn't trust anyone else. While they can (and often do) run behind on appointments, usually it's because they've squeezed in an emergency. When I've had emergencies, I've been VERY grateful they've squeezed my pets in on short notice. With respect to fees, you get what you pay for. BRITANNIA's mission is to care about your animal's best interests, not your personal finances. When Creditview demonstrated it had no clue what to do, I was happy to pay for Dr. V's expertise to save the life of my less-than-one-year-old rabbit, who lived another 9 years. In my 21 years of experience, Dr. V, Dr. White and Dr. J and all the staff have been very caring. BRITANNIA is hands down the best clinic for rabbit care!!

I have two cats and both are anti social social. After a very painful experience with Aquitaine animal hospital. I took my cats to Britannia animal hospital. I have called twice and asked 100s of questions and they answered all. When I got there Dr. Kriisten was very kind and took time to play and understand my cats needs and gave them enough time to explore. Rebbe a the technician was amazing with both cats even though one of my cats hissed at her. She just held her and played with them. The other ladies there were very kind and helped a lot. When they cats were getting examined some vacuuming started, the Dr. Kris ten asked them to stop so the cats don't get scared. It's totally worth the money coz best service was provided. Wonderful environment and people.

I had ordered a repeat script 3 days before picking it up. it wasn't even located when i went in, while staff stood around chatting. when it was finally found I was told I would have to wait for someone to be available to label it. I have had other issues with this clinic. my time is money as well. I have 2 dogs, lots of fees. I will not visit this clinic again nor recommend it. there has to be a vet out there, who, while taking my money will treat me with respect.

Unscrupulously expensive. I was 20 minutes early for my appointment and the vet was almost 45 minutes late without apology, I suppose my time isn't of value and my sick pet being out of its environment and caged for an extra 45 minutes isn't of much concern to anyone but me. Vet one month later refused to speak on the phone regarding a question that arose from the treatment they recommended without a full in-office 're-assessment'. Didn't have the courtesy to explain this themselves, got the front desk staff to do so while refusing to speak directly which I found disrespectful. Shame on you. Our phone conversation would have lasted all of 60 seconds and put my concerns to rest. I understand you are running a business and have overhead but that type of ethic or lack there of is shameful in my opinion. I have no problem spending money to help my animals when they're unwell, but I feel a bit taken advantage of after this experience. Will continue searching for another vet.

I have been coming to this clinic for about 10 years now. They have always been wonderful to me and my many animals. I have seen all of the Veterinarians who work here; and they have always been caring and professional. The staff is always wonderful-and they always welcome me and my pet by name. The facility is well maintained, and boarding area is nice I have had to use it before. I will always bring my animals here.

I agree, with the cash part of the complaints here. I had to take my bunny here because I couldn't get an appointment right away with his normal vet. For an exam and a metcam shot plus critical care I forked out almost $300.. the exam wasn't so bad, she checked everything and treated him for a sinus problem but turned out he had e.cunniculi (not their fault, bunnys are trial and error when it comes to diagnosis) They were gentle and caring with him though, which is what I like to see, but the pricing is still too much. Also, it's the middle of summer and most animals don't deal with heat very well.. why was there no air conditioning on? I still will come here for services though.

Have taken family pets to Britannia for over twenty years. Animals have been treated by all the doctors at one time or another and they're knowledgeable and concerned with the pet's well being. They were originally recommended to me by another hospital because they treat Exotics as well. Wouldn't change.

I am very upset with this animal clinic. In the summer I paid over $500.00 to board my rabbit ( I know stupid of me), I called today for an appointment to have his nails trimmed. They told me I was outside the window of timing for his physical (yes a rabbit) and I have to pay $99.00 for a full physical and they will include the trim for free. I even asked the manager and I was told no, These are the rules. I have had them remove my rabbit from the system and I willnot ever return to this clinic for this or any other animal I get. The sad thing is we are right around the corner and we are getting a new puppy soon. The just lost hundreds of dollars in potential spending because of greed and poor customer service. to the Britania Animal Hospital: you have terrible customer service and you care more about money than your customers.

I have recently been bringing my pets here (dog/cat), they are much better than my previous clinic. The staff is always friendly and willing to help in anyway they can. It always seems like they have time for us. I would never go to another vet. And based on the last comment I know these Veterinarians have been there for more than 10 years. I am very pleased with them. But yes their prices are slightly higher than most clinics.

Have taken my dog there for 10 years and the prices for the routine check up and shots were always very high compared to what co workers were paying at other vets. The check up with shots and heart worm test never less then $400. Always appeared to be selling stuff. During the Melamine dog/ cat food scare she insisted I get a urine test for dog even though he never ate any of the recalled brands of food. He was fine. Then there was a small cyst they tested and was non cancerous yet they wanted $1200 to remove it. They quoted me $1500-$2000 to do cleaning of teeth and removal. Took him to another vet and it was less then $900. Yes facilities are nice and clean and has huge grounds, always lots of staff. I guess have to pay for overhead. Run don't walk to another vet if you want to save your bank account. They appear to specialize in exotic birds and maybe that should be the only thing you take there.

i love this clinic. we have always taken our pets there, rabbit, bird, and dogs. we have always been given estimates, and have never been pressured to do unneeded tests. the front staff have always been cheerful and kind to us, we have always been treated kindly by the vets. and there knowledge is always appreciated. we came from another office and britania is by far the best clinic we have been to.

Just to get my ferret examined here (provided vaccinations too) seems to cost a fortune. I do not intend to return to this vet. Sure, the staff seem nice and the facilities appear very tidy, but practically every visit with my ferret cost me close to $200, EACH TIME. Ridiculous. I understand they were helping my animal, but they were screwing me financially. Not that they would take any consideration to the animal and it's owner more so than the money.

None of my friends recommend this vet, but it's the closest place, and always available so I tried. But as I heard from my friends and a few people wrote the reviews, they were VERY VERY cold (especially female Dr. and a skinny nurse). I don't know why they can be so rude and cold to the person who is upset with a sick pet. I also wonder if they even like animals? I don't think they love animals at all. They seems they run the business for money. If you consider visiting there, you should prepare for how bad they would treat you. And if you have small animals, they are not happy at all because it costs so little compare to cats and dogs. They even don't do basic check up for them. In my case, it took only 5minutes. No wonder why I can book anytime. If you have small animals, visit CREDITVIEW ANIMAL & BIRD HOSPITAL , Tel 905 567 8387. They are 100times better and worth the money. But hard to make an appointment. Again, if you want to give your pets best treatment, don't go Britannia.

I will never again subject my little rabbit to such a terrible vet. The refused to allow me to be there while they examined him, which made me feel very uncomfortable. Then I ended up paying over $400 for medications that upon a second opinion I found out for not even needed. I felt terrible for my little boy, and taken advantage of. I would not recommend anyone who cares about their pet, to bring them to this vet.

Dr. Jacques wes very rude to us when my rabbit came in with molar spurs. He needed a simple teeth trim, and we left with almost a thousand dollar bill. Even the Technician made us feel badly about how we take care of our rabbit, even though we are very well educated rabbit owners. I would only go back in the case of an emergency.

Dr. White and Dr. V are the only exotic animal vets i would trust. The others there not so much. Over priced yes, but you get what you pay for. For those who say they "over quote" they are just suggesting what is right for the animal. If you turn it down than so be it, don't be so sensitive when they disagree with your desicion. these vets aren't in it to save your bank they are in it to save your animal. And if it so happens your one of the few people have an animal die in thier care it shouldn't be blamed on them they were trying to save it in the first place and it could have happend anywhere.

Having only recently adopted my first rabbit, I wasn't sure where the small animal clinics were in Mississauga. I was referred here by the Peel Animal Shelter, from where I adopted him. The clinic itself was perfectly acceptable, staff was friendly, and the vet seemed competent (maybe a little cold, but she seemed to know what she was doing and talking about). My biggest gripe is that they are seriously overpriced. I was given a quote close to $800 for neutering a young male rabbit. Anywhere else I've called has quoted half that at the very most. While I have no complaint about their services, there are other clinics in Mississauga that will treat small animals, provide excellent service, all without putting you in debt. To anyone living on a humble budget, this is not the veterinary clinic for you.

My experiences at this clinic have been mixed. One thing that is for sure: They are VERY EXPENSIVE. One of my ferrets died on their operating table in an insane and risky surgery that the vet assured me she was comfortable performing. I still paid over a thousand dollars, but at least I got a cremation discount!(Obviously, this was not the outcome I wanted) My other ferret (for which I also ended up paying a thousand dollars for) came in with symptoms of a blockage and left all better two days later. Dr. Jaques(?) is rather cold, but Dr. White is compassionate and dedicated. For the rabbit owners: My friend went there with her dying rabbit (advanced wry neck), and they recommended expensive surgeries, medicines etc...she paid, and when SHE finally said that wanted him euthanized, they said she made the realistic choice...then why charge a college kid hundreds of dollars? If you do go there, listen to your instincts -If something doesn't feel right, leave.

I can only support the previous negative comments. $$$ is the name of the game here. The vet is not very personable and they play the guilt trip recommending tests for things that for which the symptoms do not even resemble 'but just in case'. When I changed vets and ask for the file to me forwarded they asked why. I gave them sincere and constructive info and all I got in return was a defensive attitude telling me I didn't understand...

Horrible staff and vet. My small pet was dying and since I have been taking it to this overpriced vet for a long time, I simply called from the car to let them know that I was coming. The receptionist said that I have to make an appointment!!!!????? She gave me a very hard time--unfortunately my pet died before we got there. I've had nothing but bad experiences with this particular clinic.

Horrible experience. They are very cold veterinarians who are in it for the money only. They recommend expensive testing and make you feel like you are a horrible pet owner if you refuse these tests. I left crying because I felt like crap because I couldn't afford to run all of the tests they wanted, and they basically told me that they couldn't help me. The vets showed little compasion and I felt that the entire time they talked down to me like I was an idiot. I will NEVER go back here again.

Absolutely horrible. I basically paid them $600 to kill my rabbit. He was suffering from GI Stasis, they took him in and medicated, force fed and the next day, he was even more bloated, they couldnt get anything to pass and recommended euthanizing him. By this point, he was in such terrible shape the only option was surgery and he wouldn't have survived. They spoke to both my girlfriend and myself on the phone and gave us two different stories. I personally feel that my poor bunny would have been better off at home, where we could have tried other things. I did not feel comfortable at all with this vet. We only brought him in there because it was where we brought him in before. I am very angry about the entire situation and do not plan on ever going back to this vet. Ever.

Like other people said, this hospital is too expensive to do anything. We received an estimate for spay for our cat was over $460. Thankfully we found other place offering only $206 plus tax. We were surprised when we were late for an appointment about 5 minutes and one stuff gave us a hard time. But when they were late more than 30 minutes when our cat was really sick and needed treatment, there was no apology. We didn't feel good about their vet either.

I have had a few experiences with this vet and I was not impressed. They are extremely costly and really are not knowledgable about small animals. They misdiagonsed three of my animals on three different visits! One was a parrot, one a rat and one a rabbit! I would not recommend this vet to anyone.
