My experience with Scottsdale Cat Clinic is a significant disappointment. My wife and I have been bringing our cat to SCC for years. We have spent thousands of dollars at this clinic as our cat has a number of hereditary problems and has developed Kidney Disease. We have adjusted his diet and fluids to do what we can to keep him as healthy and comfortable as possible. We even tried IV fluids to keep him hydrated as that is an issue with cats with Kidney Disease. IV fluids is something he will not tolerate. To keep an IV line in an uncooperative cat is a real challenge. Also, in the times we did that, fluid would collect in his chest area under his neck and it would hang down like a water bottle was under his skin. That would be absorbed over 24-48 hours, but gave him some discomfort aside from the way it looked. We love our cat as one of our family, but, we made the hard decision to give him palliative care and stop invasive, painful, and uncomfortable treatments on him. We believe tha

The prices here are very expensive! The vet nickles and dimes you for everything! I mean everything! The vet also can't wait to do a teeth cleaning on your cat.

WATCH OUT for this Bait and Switch SCAM!!
I called and made an appointment for a declaw and neuter for my cat. I spoke with the woman for awhile as I was concerned about the procedure. She gave me the price of $361 for both procedures. This was more than my regular vet so I asked her to explain the costs. She broke them down for me including an exam that would be required. I agreed this would be fine.
2 weeks later my fiance dropped our cat off and paid. After he arrived at work he told me he paid $500. I was shocked. We both called and they denied ever telling me the previous price. They would do nothing to resolve this issue. Seems like a bait and switch scam to us!!

This clinic is brand new as of Spring 2007. Wonderful building and an exceptional doctor. Personal, high-quality care for both you and your cat. (okay, I'm a bit biased as I am related to the owner, but still...Dr. Karnia is a great vet.)
