I had the displeasure of working with Dr. Wierschin. I brought my dog because she was in pain - abdominal, muscle or spine - we didn't know which. As Dr. W conducted her exam she would neither accept questions nor information about what I had observed until she "completed the examination", which consisted of checking the dog's heart beat, eyes and reflexes. She then told us her diagnosis was disk related and the dog would have to spend the night. We asked for X-rays - she told us she didn't need them to be sure. When I tried to explain that we wanted to see the Xrays to make a decision about her recommended treatment, she told me that there was no need to be "attacking" (apparently asking any questions is an attack to her authority). We then were presented with a bill for $1,180. Again - no alternatives, no real discussion. We took our dog home. The next day, my dog spent the day under observation with our regular vet. Pinched nerve - total cost $180.
