The injuries sustained were two black eyes, a scratched cornea, a bruised beak, she was over medicated and dehydrated. She died, If you love your animal do not go to this place there are other pet owners that are now coming forward and telling me their horror stories about this place. Run don't walk away from this place if I could give ZERO stars I would RID: 68968

They were the closest so we went there anyway, what a mistake. Vet assistants were MEAN and handled our little one roughly. Place was filthy, floor had seen a mop in centuries and the Dr. was abrasive and acted like we were bothering her. NEVER AGAIN. RID: 52581
Click to report rating    5/7/13   1     4     2     1   I took my cat for a well visit. He had some anxiety and the vet suggested "kitty" prozac. I asked sholdn't he do blood work first. I trusted my vet. My cat (a few days shy of 6) died about 10 days after starting the medication. Had blood work been performed, it might have disclosed an underlying condition that would only worsen with the use of antidepressants. In a week I went from having my cute little guy, to a hospital bill over $1,000, no remorse from the vet, and my kitty's ashes... Trust your vet, but trust your gut first. No matter how handsome, young and seemingly nice a vet might be, your pet can still be in harm's way. Don't agree to anything without first doing your own research - even a second opinion. It can save your little one's life. RID: 42330
Click to report rating    9/14/11   1     1     1     1   We were told that our dog was "dehydrated" and was sent home after we payed them $500, later in the afternoon she was taken to Red Bank Vet in Cherry Hill which SAVED HER LIFE! they said she was going to die in ONE HOUR and that they completely misdiagnosed her. I contacted the manager to be refunded since my current bill is almost at $6,000. They were beyond rude, refused to reimburse us and said they felt they gave "proper care." IF YOU WANT YOUR PET TO LIVE DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE EVER! RID: 27602
Click to report rating    7/5/11   1     1     1     1   THIS VET HOSPITAL IS ONLY IN IT FOR THE MONEY. AFTER DECIDING THAT OUR 2 MONTH OLD KITTEN WAS NOT ABLE TO SURVIVE ON THEIR OWN. WE MADE THE DECISION TO COMFORTABLY PUT HIM DOWN, THIS WAS HEART WRENCHING TO US. OUR DOCTOR WHO WAS TREATING HIM SAID ITS THE RIGHT DECISION THEN WHEN WE ARRIVED TO TAKE CARE OF THIS , SHE BAILED OUT AND SOME DR WE DIDNT KNOW TOOK CARE OF IT WITH US. THEN THEY HAD THE NERVE TO ASK IF WE WOULD DONATE HIS BODY FOR EXPERIMENTATION !!! MIND YOU WE SPENT $1000 IN 2 DAYS TRYING TO SAVE THIS KITTEN. JUST TO BE TOLD THEY COULDNT HANDLE THIS THERE (AFTER WE PAID) TO GO TO UNN OF PENN VET HOSPITAL ($1000 TO WALK IN ). INSENSITVE AND UNCARING VETS, BILKING YOU FOR MONEY HAND OVER FIST. HORRIBLE, WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK THERE.. IT WOULD BE CHEAPER TO GO TO VET SCHOOL MYSELF. THEIVES AND LIARS RID: 26008
Click to report rating    7/28/09   5     5     4     3   Staff are excellent but transitional. When you find a good vet, they leave. Have some concerns over their ability to handle difficult cases. RID: 13640
Click to report rating    3/23/09   3     5     3     3   The building is gorgeous, yes. But having had problems with seemingly uneducated vets elsewhere in the past, I'm always suspicious. I recently took my puppy to Dr. Merrifield (1 of the 8 or 10 vets there). She is an excellent vet, very knownedgable. However, when I took my 18 week old BABY OF A DOG to get shots, the dog was understandably nervous. Dogs dont understand shots help them, they only know that it hurts, and for a small young puppy the vet is a scary place. My puppy was held down by a vet tech, and then the vet started to look at her eyes and teeth and give her a shot. My puppy growled and snapped at her, and she told me that I should get her into a behavior modification class. If you hold me down and give me a shot, I'll growl and snap at you too. I understand that the vets are busy, but if anyone had taken 15 minutes to calm my puppy, gain her trust, and get to know her, she would have been fine. Not good enough service from that vet for the exorbitant cost. RID: 12226

8/24/07   5     5     5     5   My 2 dogs were treated here in the Emergency Care Facilities. The facility itself is beautiful. The doctors and staff are great; thie place comes highly recommended by everyone I know. The emergency facility is of course more expensive than your normal vet, but I am just so happy to have a 24 hour facility that is so fantastic in the area. RID: 5742
