Click to report rating    4/6/10   1     1     1     1   I WAS happy with this vet when I used them for shots, but don't go there if your pet gets sick. They called me at 5pm and told me to come pick up my dog and take her to an emergency vet since she would probably need a transfusion overnight. They closed at 6pm and I was over an hour away. I asked why they didn't check her blood count earlier so they could give her a transfusion there. I was told that they didn't do transfusions unless the blood count was lower but it was close. I was told I would have to be there by 6, or I couldn't pick her up and they would lock up for the night. They finally said they would do me the favor of waiting for me for 15 min to pick her up. A transfusion at an emergency vet would be $1100, but they could have given me the choice to have one there for $200-300, but they didn't give me that choice. She made it through the night but died the next day. They made it sound like she would be fine with treatment. I found out that 50% with that condition live. RID: 17400
