I was under the assumption that these guys saw a lot of rabbits but it was very apparent from my visit that they dont know an awful lot. Remember folks that not all bunny vets have the same level of experience.

I have a rabbit, so my vet choices are limited. Dr. Farrell at the Animal Health Center came recommended by rabbit.org. The facilities are pristine, the staff is friendly and Dr. Farrell is awesome. The prices are a bit steep, but since this is a VCA-affiliated hospital, they are probably the ones dictating the price ranges. Their prices vs. others tend to come up average, though -- not nearly as outrageous as others I've seen. They're very busy and it's not always easy to get an appointment (that is likely also because only one of their doctors treats rabbits), but otherwise I am very happy with them.

I was just here with my cat, and my doctor was very nice and very accomodating, even calling me during her busy day to see how myself and the cat were doing. Sure they're busy and you may have to wait; but the quality of the staff made it up to me!

There is a very impersonal atmosphere at this clinic...all business.

I had been bringing my pets to the Animal health center for years, so I was very upset when my dachsund was misdiagnosed not only once, but twice. I had to bring him to an emergency clinic for a correct analysis, and the cost of that was less expensive, too. To me, the Animal Health Center is not very personable, only a business, and they overcharge as well. I was quoted a surgery for almost a thousand dollars, but another vet (Lansingburgh Hospital) was able to do it for about $300. Check out smaller hospitals like Lansingburgh - they are friendlier and less expensive.
