Dr.B.Steele-second opinion. She concurred with the first Ophthalmologist that my dog's eye needed to be removed. She convinced me to have the surgery with her the next day. It was the worst experience I have ever had with a Vet. My dog was supposed to have surgery at 1pm, but it was actually 4:30pm before the surgery started. Then, since they close at 5:30pm, they pulled my dog off the operating table and handed her to me barely awake. When I picked up my dog, the secretary (a very unprofessional and unpleasant woman) handed me 3 pieces of paper full of post-operative care instructions and information on 6 different prescription medications and NO pain meds. She did not have the knowledge required to answer my questions and then she rushed me to pay. I requested to speak with the Vet, Dr. Barbara Steele and I was told she was unavail. It is now 1 week post surgery and I still have not spoken to the Vet and I do not know what I should expect now for my dog's other eye. STAY AWAY!
