Horrendous service and incompetent doctors For example, my cat was dying in acute kidney failure and sat in the waiting room for 3 hours WITHOUT TRIAGE! Staff & service coordinators are useless and always frazzled. When my cat was discharged from the hospital (and had been overdosed on pain meds according to a doctor elsewhere that looked at the records), the doctor at SFVS refused to speak with me. In fact, the service coordinator (who doesn't even have vet tech training) was giving me medical advice instead. Most of the doctors you will communicate with are interns, who are clueless. Instead of hiring the appropriate amount of competent doctors, they bring on the interns, which are useless. I could go on and on about the nightmares I have experienced in the last few months (and witnessed with others in the waiting room) but it would take way too much space. Avoid this place like the plague!
