We have been going to The Blaine Area Pet Hospital for years. I have never walked out thinking anything other then good things about the staff and facility. They are caring, compassionate and friendly. We have never felt pressured into anything (testing or medication). I can't talk about price, but only because we have not taken our dogs anywhere else. I am sure there are cheaper clinics out there, but in my mind you get what you pay for. And I can't put a price on piece of mind. I recommend this Vet to everyone I know with a pet. A personal story - The day we had to put out first dog to sleep, every Vet and Tech was there. Some were off work, but came back to be with us and our Bailey that day. If that is not compassion and a personal touch...I am not sure what is.

I have taken my pets to the Blaine Area Pet Hospital for years. They are always so helpfull! Living in the Blaine area for a while now I've seen a few Veterinarians and they are by far the best!

I've been taking my cats to Dr. Jay ever since they opened in 2002. I love them. Dr. Jay is very caring and will take the time to explain to you what's happening. Cost is discussed before anything is done. The emergency clinic next door is just as wonderful and caring. My cat had surgery at the emergency clinic and Dr. Jay made sure to check on him - after regular hours. Everyone is very helpful and considerate.

I've been going here for a couple of years and have always loved the staff, but now there are new people which makes me wonder how such great staff could leave. My dog gets exceptional care from the female vet, Dr. Fee. I once had an appointment with Dr. Epping and it was the worst experience ever. He was very cold, short, and didn't take the time to explain anything to me and he barely examined my dog. I paid $50 for 2 minutes of his time and he gave me meds. To me that is not a good doctor. To me this vet feels like he's all about getting people in and out and not having any kind of relationship with the owner or pet. From now on, I will only see Dr. Fee and if she leaves then I will not be going back myself.

Dr Jay and his staff have always been amazing to work with. They are caring and knowledgable and on top of that their facilities are very clean and professional. One of the best vets around.

Feel my pets get good care but am concerned because there is a constant change of veterinarians, none seem to stay very long. Don't always get that warm caring feeling you hope to get when you take your beloved pets in.

The vets there are very professional and caring. For the past five years my three pets have recieved excellent care at a reasonable price. Dr. Jay Epping and stall really care!!

The emergency vet next to the regular vet is expensive but has great animal care and knowledgable staff.

We have not been happy with this vet. We thought they were very expensive. We decided to try a different vet today and found out that they charge twice as much for their office visit as the new vet and to top it off we found out that they charge triple for a medication they have been giving the dog. How is it that they would have to charge three times the actual price of a medication. If you are going to use this vet be aware of what they are charging you. You are going to pay too much.

There is a new vet at this clinic that is test happy. She thinks everything that she sees on the dog needs to be tested for something. We came in with a small skin lesion on the dogs body. By the time we left we had spent over 400.00 on tests. The tests came back with nothing wrong. Great way to waste a lot of money for nothing. Won't be going back there.

Don't go here unless you want your pet to be worse off than when you brought it in. I went to Midwest (same building, same vets) for shoulder surgery for my dog. They didn't fix the problem and called to tell me she couldn't walk with her back legs! They told me to bring her to the U where I was sure I'd be putting her to sleep. Then they told me she could walk and I should bring her to my regular vet (this from a place where they have both a regular vet clinic and an emergency clinic). Luckily, my COMPETENT vet was able to fix her up. They did not give me any follow-up care instructions, gave me pain meds that weren't supposed to be given with the steroid injections they gave, and never called me afterwards to see if she was even alive! Then they have the audacity to send me a bill for the surgery! If you need an animal butchered, go to this vet. Sad because we were actually happy with the emergency side of the business in the past.

I have taken our dogs to this clinic for years. When we first started there we saw Dr Jay Epping. You couldn't ask for a better, more caring and concerned vet. I recommended them to everyone. However in the past year the staff has changed continually and Dr Epping seems to have disappeared from the scene. We have been pushed off on several different vets who quickly come and go. Although I do see Dr. Epping roaming the clinic he doesn't even take the time to acknowledge us. For reasons unknown it appears that Dr. Jay has become a different vet. He is not the caring vet that he used to be. Even the rest of the staff seems to have all disappeared and the new replacements are not the quality staff of old. I am sad to say that I will be looking for a different vet.

I went to the attached building Midwest Veterinary Specialty Group that is open 24 7 days a week for emergency care and I can't say enough. I had the PLEASURE of dealing with Dr Meg Baho (Internal Specialist) The entire staff is absolutely wonderful, and they care about your animal as if it is one of there own. I travel a long way to get to them but I will never go to anyone else. Bravo also to Dr. Christy, Chris, Sharon who was a tremendous help with helping with my baby's med program.Loree for being so kind These people were chosen to work in this field and I was BLESSED to have them take care of my Maltese Sadie. God Bless each and everyone of you for the work you do. I will be back and have since told everyone that has an animal about you facility...IT IS THE BEST......IF YOUR PET NEEDS MEDICAL ATTENTION, DON'T GO ANYWHERE ELSE

Excellent care. We used their after hours clinic and were very pleased. They give quality care, but don't just throw drugs at a problem and are very aware of the owner's budget, i.e. telling me to buy benedryl as an OTC at Target, as opposed to getting a prescription from them.
