Click to report rating    9/20/14   1     2     1     1   Too Expensive. I suggest you do not buy the Wellness Plan. If the animal is lost in the first month you have to pay out the entire plan. Non-transferrable not even partially. I will be pulling out all my pets and moving them to a new hospital. Other issues are long waits to see the Vet. You never see the same Vet. Too large and institutional for me. RID: 53635
Click to report rating    11/26/12   3     3     3     1   Go to Spencer Animal Hospital in Pasadena, TX instead:I took my puppy to Banfield because she had an ear infection and ended up purchasing the wellness package which saved me $30 at the time. Their wellness plans include a "free" visit, however, their prices for services are ridiculously overinflated. I thought my puppy had a bladder infection and called and was advised it would cost $100 (ON THE PLAN) to obtain a urinalysis for my puppy. It does not even cost that at Spencer Animal Hospital with payment of an office visit. The wellness plans do not save any money in the long run. Not only that, but this Banfield location requires that you bring your beloved animal up there early in the morning to sit in a kennel all day for them to complete a physical exam at their convenience instead of seeing the animal at a specific time. I would NOT recommend this place. The vets at Spencer Animal Hospital are just as thorough and knowledgeable without the ridiculously overinflated price. RID: 38706
Click to report rating    3/15/12   1     4     1     1   I went to Pet Smart vet on South Shepherd They changed the price of pet care 3 times in one visit. When given the bag of medication, medicine was missing. I had to pay MORE for the pain meds after already paying a large sum as Banfield quoted. Had to wait a long time to get answers... the dingy girl at the counter who went back to get an answer took for-eVer! DON'T GO TO BANFIELD! RID: 32919
Click to report rating    2/12/12   1     1     1     1   I took my 8 years old Golden Retriever to the Eldridge Banfield Pet Hospital facilities. The ladie at front and the nurse were OK,but the veterinary was rude and seems to be interested on money. Very careless to dog and mean to my daughter and myself. We were dressed casual and are hispanics. But what she doesnt know is I am a proffesional and very well educated. Please do not take your precious animals to that clinic. You pet deserve the best. Click to report rating    3/9/10   1     3     3     1   Dr. Dhami or Dr.Jaz - whatever he calls himself - is a hack. I worked with him for 2 yrs and have never worked with such a HORRIBLE, uncaring, unprofessional vet. PLEASE ALL - BEWARE of how he treats your animal once you've left the clinic ... if the staff seems caring, then there is hope, but if not, LEAVE and take your animal with you. FOLLOW YOUR GUT!! He cuts corners during medical procedures and ups his cost to the MAX (AVMA GUIDELINES). There ARE better vets out there who are 100% qualified, caring, professional and have wonderful bed-side manner who genuinely CARE for you pets over money. Honestly ... he is not a good guy. I am not disgruntled employee, fur a little FYI, this was in Canada. he moved from Canada to TX. STAY AWAY FROM HIM!!!! RID: 16980
Click to report rating    7/24/07   3     4     4     3   I was extremely skeptical about going to Banfield because of all the bad things I've heard about it, but it turned out to be alright. I think the main thing is the convenience of the location. Other than that, I thought that the wait was a little long and they were understaffed for the amount of customers that came in. What was meant to be a $30 visit, turned out to be a $140 visit. I think I'm going to change vets after this, hopefully I'll there's better! RID: 5318
