Our beloved 16 year old cat, who was delicate in size and age, was brutally mistreated and "chased with a towel" in the back when she tried to run away from the egotistical Vet, Dr. Kerry Heuter, and his totally incompetent and brut-force handling Vet Tech, "Carla." She had severe hyperthyroidism and we suspected secondary heart and high blood pressure and possibly Kidney issues at her advanced age. They IGNORED our repeated requests to treat her with care and gentleness if they had to take a blood test and an Ultrasound. Not only did they chase her as she ran under equipment to get away from this rough handling with NO compassion! Where is the NO STRESS VET TRAINING? It does not exist here. Our beloved cat died in my arms the very next day after many urgent phone calls to Katonah of her serious condition with her eyes dialated and breathing out of her mouth. I was dismissed and disrespected by Dr. Heuter regarding how she was in shock and possibly had a heart attack. Horrifying.

they ignored my vet findings, they did not see a massive internal bleeding after ultrasound test an proceeded with a unnecessary surgery even though blood pressure and heart rate was not stable. All of that so they can charge a arm an a leg...they did not save the dog anyway

Everyone who goes to Katonah Bedford now should know that a chain named VCA owns it. The vets like the owner Dr. Green and some others who built the reputation have gone. In fact, Dr. Green took the medical director into a practice with him in the South-unfortunately he didn't take others like Dr. Megan Duffy. Ask around and you will find out how VCA hospitals are viewed.

I have been bringing my cat there for 7 years. Dr. Stephens saved his life after he was nearly killed by my prior vet in South Salem who treated his diabetes with a drug that was harmful to cats. Back then, the facility was excellent - you felt they really cared about your pet. Lori Lombardi, an AWESOME vet tech, along with Chris, and various front desk people made the $25,0000 we have spent there seen worth it - these people are still awesome. A few years ago we began to hear from other vets that the doctors there worked on commission for the number of tests and procedures they "sold" to pet owners. We chose to ignore these rumors. Today, we decided that our 17 year old cat who had been diagnosed with kidney problems (he also has been diabetic for 7 years) had endured enough and we decided to forgo treatment and put him to sleep (a painful decision). We asked if someone could come to our house for the procedure and were blown off - after 7 years -shamefull!! We are heartbroken!

This is a very expencive center. I wouldn not bring my dog. Insted of paying about 350-400 dollers on a visit i pay 200-250 where i now go. Plus everythin is always secret. They say "we will bring you dog to the back" all the time for everything. I dont like that. I would not recommed this place at all.

Very, very expensive. There are many excellent Veterinarians within ten miles of this location who can offer outstanding care, for half the price! While the staff and the veterinarians are well-trained, they often lack bedside manner.

This practice is excellent. Everything is state-of-the-art, and in addition to general care, they have many different specialists and 24/7 emergency care. The staff is reliably friendly and kind, and they know the animals they see- everyone always recognizes my dogs and cats when I bring them. The techs are all licensed, some with specialty degrees. There are two surgical suites, and they have the capability to do in-house bloodwork, which means less waiting in an emergency. The prices are NOT cheap- you pretty much pay a premium, but you definitely get what you pay for. The vets are kind, compassionate, considerate, and keep up-to-date on the current literature and research, so they are aware of new techniques. They are also willing to listen if you find a new technique or drug that may work for your pet. Our favorite general practice vet is Dr. McKean, but all the GPs are spectacular!
