I took my cat for some stitches. They push me so many unrelated exams that estimated total at $1100. Most of the exams were already taken at my regular vet and I was well aware of those medical issues that my cat had. But that's for my cat so I took their offer. My husband picked her up right next day and got charged $1400 without explaining on the difference of $300 from the quote. They requested him to bring my cat back for a recheck in 5 days. He's got charged another $38 for the recheck and $30 for additional antibiotic just for doing nothing other than looking at the stitched wound. I know my regular vet doesn't charge for aftercare services if the original procedure was done at the same vet office. Only reason why I needed to go to this place was because it was Sunday evenining and my regular vet doesn't provide 24/7 emergency services. This vet office's always trying to collect as much money as they could from any tiny service they do, that most other vet offices do for free.

Worst experience of my life. They left a fully intact afterbirth still inside my dog after a C-section. If a canine does not pass afterbirth following the delivery of each puppy then they will develop an infection and die. This is common knowledge; if there are four puppies then there must be four afterbirths. It was especially important to ensure all afterbirths were removed in this instance because of the tear in her uterine wall. That tear would enable the infection to seep out and spread beyond the uturious. Since the vet knew he could not safely administer oxytocin it should have been an even greater priority. The removal of afterbirth is a routine procedure and leaving one inside is nothing more than an incredible display of negligence and incompetence. The life of my dog and her future ability to reproduce was put at significant, unnecessary, and continuing risk due to a careless and avoidable error by the staff at this facility.

Well that is funny I Had a great Doctor whom spoke fine English and was very very honest and saved my puppies life!! They must have new staff because the last few listing did not match my experiences. The nice techs helped me carry my puppy from the car(my puppy could not move he was hit by a car on M-59)they saved him, he was in their care for 3 days. I love this ER Clinic and their staff. Please trust that i would not just leave my loved puppy in just any ones hands. They are great!!

Terrible experience. Couldn't understand foreign staff who were treating my dog for a torn ligamine when it was truly a congenial problem. WILL NEVER GO BACK EVEN THOUGH WE LIVE 2 BLOCKS AWAY

Horrible experience. I brought in a dog that was obviously suffering from a severe upper respiratory infection. After keeping the dog for four plus days and doing NOTHING to help him, my husband was called and told to "come and get this dog or he will DIE!" We took him to Michigan State University where he was put on oxygen (should have been done IMMEDIATELY) and the PROPER medication and he was home within 36 hours. This hospital is cold, unfeeling and solely in the business of money making. I tell everyone I know NOT to EVER take their animals to Veterinary Care Specialists. It is horrible how they treat their patients, both human and animal!!!

DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY!! Our experience with them was absolutely horrible. The staff was very cold, the vet was vague and seemed very unsure. Our dog was there for 2 1/2 days. When we asked questions or to see our pet, we were made to feel as is if we were a pain. Phone calls were not returned. The worst part is that we were given hope, when there really was none. 1 1/2 hours after the vet told us that she was "cautiously optimistic", our dog died. Our regular vet said we should have been given a realistic prognosis.(We could not use them since we needed overnight care.) We feel they just had us hang on to collect more money. Since then, we've talked to others and they feel the same way. No compassion, only in it for the profit. If your pet is important to you and part of your family, ask your regular vet to give you the number of the facility they would use, before you have an emergency. I wish I had - my friend might still be here today.
