Click to report rating    4/27/08   5     3     3     2   The staff here is friendly, the building is a little run down but clean and fairly organized, and the veterinarians who see my dogs and cats are very thorough, and explain all procedures and treatments to my satisfaction. The prices are high-being part of a corporation, but I think it is worth it for the level of care and comassion they provide. The front desk runs a little slow, but once the nurse took us to the exam room, things ran a lot more smoothly. The doctors always seem friendly and courteous of my needs and my budget, and the doctor who put my cat to sleep several months ago helped me a lot. Overall, I would definitely recommend Woodstock, and my new puppy sure loves it there! RID: 8291
Click to report rating    6/28/07   3     3     3     1   A couple of years ago I took one of my cats in to have his teeth cleaned. When I went to pick him up, the bill was nearly $800. While the staff explained that a number of teeth had to be removed, no one had called me so I was in shock at the bill (luckily I had the money available). No vet spoke with me after the cleaning/removal - no one followed up. Three days later my cat was still dopey and falling over. Another vet (elsewhere) thought my cat had been over-anesthetized. Click to report rating    4/18/07   4     4     4     1   In 2006 I took my dog and cat to Woodstock. We built a working-relationship with them; they vaccinated my pup, neutered him. Vaccinated my cat. In 2007 my dog ripped his toe nail clean off and we went to Woodstock. Money was tight, and when I asked if I could pay in installments, or pay half or whatever, it wasn't even an option. I received a straight "no." We managed to pay for his medical needs but were totally disappointed with them. We added another dog to our family, and discovered she had bladder stones.. after spending $500 at Woodstock vet on antibiotics, x-rays, urinalyses that turned up no results and meetings with the vet (we had two meetings) I was quoted $1200 for the surgery to remove the stones...not counting any of the additional fees for post-op diet, anesthesia..nothing. When I called around, 3 other vets said that the whole procedure, plus additional costs, would be within $700-850. The service they offer is nothing to write home about and they are so OVERPRICED. Click to report rating    2/10/07   2     4     4     2   Friendly staff but mediocre vets. Didn't tell me anything about my dog's health that I didn't Already know, charged me more than expected for basic lab work. Diagnoses based on my dog's record rather than current state or Vet's analysis of Condition. Overall, nothing to write home about. RID: 2796
Click to report rating    10/31/06   5     4     5     5   When you bring your pet to Woodstock AH, you get thorough professional treatment with genuine love and concern for your pet's well being. The doctors here have a wonderful "bedside manner" and they strive to educate and inform you so you are best equipped to care for your pet and make educated medical decisions on their behalf. This is a warm and friendly clinic where you and your pet get the attentiveness you deserve and you don't feel like you're "processed" through by someone looking down their nose at you because you don't hold a medical degree. Some of the vets here actually work/volunteer at Dove Lewis Emergency Pet Hospital as well, so they are awesome at trauma/high risk situations which pets sometimes encounter. On a scale of 1 to 10, these guys are a 20! RID: 359
