Knowing what I know now, I should sue this close nix and especially Virginia Cornell, who allowed my sweet cat suffer needlessly. NO pain meds whatsoever after mammary surgery and an incision the length of her abdomen. She told me "cats don't feel pain". I was young, and naive. There is much more, like how there were no pre-surgery tests for my senior cat. Many thing about we didn't find out until after getting our cat's records when we suspected something was wrong. If I ever run into this horrible woman, I don't know what I'll say, but I will speak my mind. It makes me ill to see her cuddling a cat on Aldergrove's web site. She should be stripped of her license for what she did. Barrie (we've since discovered) has some wonderful vets, but if you love your pet, do not trust this woman!! Our pets cannot speak for themselves, we need to be very careful about who cares for them, and how.

Our dogs have had nothing but great care here over 14 years. At times multiple visits were required and they were always compassionate and reasonable with their fees. We recently had a dog that fell ill and they went above and beyond. Cannot recommend them highly enough. I find their fees fair and their clinic homey and comfortable.

I was visiting the area on the weekend and my dog got sick. I called the clinic and although they were booked up, they made time to fit me in mid-afternoon on that day. I was treated exceptionally well and was really impressed with the sincerity of the staff. A special thanks to Nicola for going above and beyond!

We recently had to say goodbye to our 15 year old dog. It was a very difficult day. Dr. Osster and the nurse were very caring and spent a lot of time with us helping us make the decision. The whole staff that day were very sweet and gentle. I am not sure if we will get another pet, but if we do, we won't go anywhere else.

Awesome clinic! Staff are so friendly and caring! The vet spent a long time explaining my cats problem to me.

I recently moved here from London, ON and thought I would not be able to replace my previous vet. This clinic exceeded my expectations. They not only carefully explained things to me, they called me a few days later to make sure I understood my dog's treatment.

I have never had anything but great service at this clinic. All the staff are great with my pets and my pets love going in there.

What a money grabber. One of the most ecpensive clinics in the city. You pay double for services that normally cost half the price and with nothing extra attached. A yearly cat checkup...yes, just a checkup is $100 not including any vaccinations! When I asked why they are so pricey, I was given a cold shoulder, matter of fact reply that the prices are standard in the area. I don't think so! Don't waste your time and money. These people only care about the dollar bills. Giving vets a bad name.

Wouldn't recommend this clinic. All they did was try to upsell more service's and still preached the same old scare tactics from 20 years ago. Todays average pet owners are a different breed with a wealth of knowledge at our disposal on the web and in books, no longer depend on purina to tell us how to take care of our pets. Other vet clinics are expanding their knowledge to keep up with the times; too bad I can't say the same about the staff at this clinic.

I am surprised by what others have said. I've used Aldergrove for 13 years and have never had a problem. They have been mindful when my finances were limited, have seen us in a moments notice, were thoughtful and supportive when our 18 year old cat needed to be put to sleep, and reduced fees when we had a cat that required multiple visits. Although I implicitly trust all of the vets there, I would say Dr. Trant is my favourite. The costs were comparable when I shopped around when we moved here and I've never noticed a smell. I highly recommend them.

I did not like the vet I saw. Staff were nice to my pet, but the clinic smelled like a litterbox.

We came in with a sick puppy and were treated like cash on a tree. They tried to sell us on $500 of services and guilt tripped us when we asked for more affordable solutions. They tried to convince us that all vet costs are standardized and gave us the psychology that if we loved our animal we would do anything to help. We got out of there fast (though it cost us almost $80 just for the chat!) - the next vet was far more helpful and didn't try to upsell us in our moment of sadness - stay away from Aldergrove, especially the evil blonde lady.

It's all about money at Aldergrove. I lost my beloved pet because of their incompetence. The veterinarian care is substandard, lacking in empathy and the place stinks and isn't very sanitary. Their prices are higher than other places in Barrie. Why? I have no idea. Do NOT take your animals here.
