Click to report rating    8/17/10   1     1     1     1   This outfit is horrific - really bad. The review of 8/3/07 shown in the reviews is obviously a fabrication put there at the urging of McCarthy. McCarthy himself has an area wide reputation for disliking cats. The only thing positive is that they are open longer than other vets. I had one bad experience where my cat came back traumatized after a tooth pulling. Not realizing that this was a warning, and with my busy schedule, I went back when my cat was seriously ill and needed to stay over. They never told me that if my cat took a turn for the worse and would be in a lot of terminal pain, they wouldn't euthanize without my permission. This point was reached at a time where I couldn't be reached. At first they lied to me and said he died peacefully. But later I found out he died a dreadful painful death with his cries filling the facility which traumatized staff as well, because McCarthy forbade euthanization. There's a lot more here, but this is all I can fit into this review. RID: 19261

Click to report rating    1/1/09   1     1     1     1   unless you pay whatever they tell you, without complaining , they treat you allright, but if you question anything, watch out, the giant office clerk gets nasty. unless you drive a Mecedes or Lexus,do not expect ciurtesy, they treat you like garbage, and your animals ? well if you care about them , don't take them to McCarthy or Ford , which is essentiallly the same group of crappy staff ,uncaring vets, that's why all the good vets who ever worked for them left. Click to report rating    12/29/07   1     1     1     1   I wish someone would have told me Fords was horrible befor my wife and I brought our dog there for surgery for a small bump on his leg. The day before he was running playing. He was 2 years old. When Fords got done with him he was dead. If you love your pet, FIND ANOTHER VET RID: 6798
Click to report rating    8/3/07   5     5     5     5   Dr.McCarthy is not only a wonderful veterinarian, but also a great surgeon. He has 3 locations: main hospital on Hyde Park Blvd, an office on Military Rd with Wed evening appts (works out great after work) & evening appts 3 nights a week on Cayuga in Lewiston. They also have a vet, Dr. King that does chiropractic & accupunture - works miracles. I wouldn't consider seeing any other vet. Even if I ever moved I would travel to see them. RID: 5469
