A friend of mine made an emergency call early on a Saturday morning when her chocolate lab was hit by a car. The dog's hip was very obviously damaged, appearing to be dislocated. She rushed him in. The vet said he had to do something else first and would call her. He did call and told her that her dog would need pins in his hip/leg but that everything else looked okay. Her animals are like her children, she would have had the vet do whatever it took to make her dog better. Later she discovered her dog had been taken outside and put on the ground, she feels, to die. She believes this to be negligence on the part of the vet.
