Your animal will suffer until the money is in their hands. Performs unecessary procedures and surgery just to raise the fee. Doctors behave very unprofessional.

Our spaniel was hit by a car and suffered multiple fractures. We arrived at MedVet seriously shaken, and araid that his hind leg could not be saved. All I said was, "Copper's been hit by a car. We know his back leg is really bad." Within seconds, they whisked him away and started to work on our little Cavalier. It seemed like forever but within a couple of hours they were able to stabilize the dog, explain the scope of injuries, the treatment options with estimated cost, timelines for surgery, recovery, therapy, associated risks, and quality of life impacts. Suffice it to say, Dr. Bufkin not only saved Copper's leg with implant surgery, but spared a few minutes later on to let my grandson interview him for a Science Fair project, "Puppy Bones ~ How do they heal?" Dr. Bufkin is an outstanding surgeon and inspiration to our grandson. Copper's recovery is on track. The total investment was substantial but less than estimated; our Cavalier is doing great. Therefore, the MV = 5!

Very expensive but sooo worth it. The staff was so understanding about my feelings and went out of their way to make my 13 year old puppy pass away as peaceful as possible. He had cancer and it was the hardest decision of my life but MedVet understood that and I am so grateful to the entire staff who helped me and made an aweful experience a peaceful one.

I have used Med Vet several times over the years, mostly because I was referred to them by my regular vet's affiliation with them. As they are very good veterinarians, I find their charges extremely high. Initially, I had no real problem with the charges. But, everytime I had to take my pet back for follow-up exams, I never got out of there for less than $300.00. I find this an outrage. This is why people have to put their best friends to sleep because they can't afford to keep them alive. Where is the real compassion? They can't possibly believe that the average person can afford these prices. They also insisted on repeating tests that I just couldn't justify. I guess I'm continuosly taken aback at doctors' greediness.

I have used MedVet twice now. The first was for an emergency when I thought my boxer was bloating (he wasn't, luckily), and just last week for my other boxer who had ACL surgery. Both times I've been pleased with the experience. Dr. Barnhart was the surgeon for my dog, Sammie, and he was excellent. Explained every thing and discussed surgical options. And they have a great followup care plan, including consultation at the rehab facility included with the surgery. The office was busy, but everyone was caring, and they even have someone who comes around and checks on you, asks how long you've been waiting, and offers you something to drink. What a nice touch! Yet another dog had ACL surgery at another clinic last fall, and that place was terrible compared to MedVet. Yes, there services are expensive, but you get what you pay for in this case. I recommend them to everyone!

This place is a circus. They will treat your pet and are real nice to you as long as there is money to be had. Follow up care isn't worth their time because theres no money in it for them. They will recommend a treatment even if it's hopeless as long as they can keep your pet alive until the treatment is done and you rwallet is empty. Half hour treatment equalls 3 to 4 hour wait. Why? I only came from out of state, I have nothing better to do than sit and wait.

I love this place took great care of our dog Roscoe! His was going into shock from dehydration. He had been vomiting for 6 days and was not getting better after our vet told us that he would get better that he had the flu! He has Addison's disease and the number 1 sign that dogs have when they get it is vomiting! DONT GO TO DR. ALLEN IN PLAIN CITY>>>>VERY BAD VET!!! Everyone there treated us with the utmost respect and our dog as well. I ways a bit high in price but he was near death.

While these guys are extremely expensive and will charge for even use of a room, it is a hospital and is run like one. However, everyone I interacted with seems to genuinely love animals and are very friendly to clients and their pets. My cat had a very large surgery and had to stay 3 days because she was anemic. Everyone I talked to about my cat seemed to like her very much and she got a lot of positive attention while she was in their care. They are all very compassionate. And I thank them a million times for saving my baby!!! (she is doing great!)

I have taken my dog to MedVet a few times for emergencies, and have been pleased every time. Both visits required surgery (GDV and Foreign Body) and absolutely loved everyone I came into contact with. While the visits weren't "cheap", I would pay whatever was needed to make sure my dog was healthy. I have also used the specialty services, and the dermatologist, Dr. Gordon, is the sweetest! Very good with my dog and very informative when answering my questions or explaining things. I feel fortunate to have a facility open after hours that will take such good care of my dog!
