1/9/14   5     5     4     5   I have gone to Niles Animal Hospital for 16 years. Dr. Sakas always goes the extra mile, never rushes me and explains and discusses everything. Yes, sometimes there is a wait, but it's hard to predict emergencies, and I'm glad for the attention when I'm the one having the emergency. Dr. Sakas has gentle and kind, and Niles Animal Hospital is an amazing place. RID: 49149
Click to report rating    4/19/09   3     1     1     1   I wish I could say better things about this place. It is true they are living off past reputation because the quality of their services did decrease greatly when I stopped bringing my bird there. Dr. Peter Sakas is a very nice, caring man but he employs incredibly outdated methodology on advanced treatment (such as feather pulling or more serious illness). I found myself running in circles when I used to bring my bird here repeatedly with no true progress. The last time I went here I waited 1.5 hours for my appointment and was way overcharged for medicine that did not work. The other vets here seem to have very limited knowledge of non-typical species. One woman vet called my Eclectus female a HE twice before I corrected her. (To those that know the Eclectus, it is impossible not to know a female from a male as the females are predominantly red and the males green). I had to look for other options simply because of the dated approach here. Sorry. RID: 12496
Click to report rating    10/20/07   5     5     4     5   I brought my german shepard to Kelly Kostuch DVM and she was VERY nice, she was really well informed on lymes diseases. My dog was really sick and she made me and my dog feel better right away. She spent time with me to answere all of my questions even though you could tell she and the hospital are really busy. I heard I would have to wait, so I brought my book and they offered me tea and candy. Totally worth the wait and my dog is happy and playing again! She is great!would highly recomend Kelly. RID: 6174
