VCA Newark Animal Hospital, I took my dog buddy here for a rash. $700 later i left with meds, it has been 3 weeks now and the rash looks exactly the same. I called them and they want to charge me again to see him and I can not even speak to a supervisor. They just took my money and did nothing for my dog at all. .

If VCA would sell the clinic, and the right management would be put in place this would be the greatest ER vet all around. Unfortuneatley it is owned by a corporation solely concerned with numbers, specifically profits. The support staff is extemely stretched thin, and grossly under paid. Even so they are some of the most caring and talented people in the industry. If they could do more to help the clients financially they would. If you have any complaints about cost please direct them them to VCA Antech corp., and keep in mind being available 24/7 is also more costly than 9-5 with set appointments. I would highly reccomend them for true medical emergencies, otherwise you may be better off going elsewhere.
