Click to report rating    10/22/20   2     5     4     4   Great clinic for vets but unfortunately the girl at front reception is always rude. Today she gave me a nice eye roll when I said I wasn’t sure which good but it was one file. She then proceeded to say things under her breath when she went for the food. Real professional. Done spending my money here and will go somewhere else. RID: 69609
Click to report rating    6/3/20   1     2     2     1   Have been a customer with the clinic for over 14 years and have had enough. It has gone full circle from a great business to a money hungry, don't care what you think Trumpville! I have had a few bad vet visits and stopped going since the amazing vets that were there moved back east and now...ID SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE! They have raised prices over past 3 years dramatically and the final straw was when they refused to stop asking so much personal information each time I buy dog food. Why does my file need to be updated...why do I need a file? They say it is required but not by any credit card company I know. And as far as the fair trade commission I lodged a complaint with yesterday, they cannot refuse you service because you don't want to disclose personal information. Oh and to the RUDE manager that called me to justify this behavior...you suck at your job RID: 69285
Click to report rating    3/13/19   3     2     1     1   Major money grab. I've tried several other clinics in the area and they've been muh better. I had bought double the amount of pills for my dog at another clinic for half the price I paid at this one. Rip-Off RID: 67514
Click to report rating    10/23/17   1     1     1     1   We were told we would pay a lot less by having the crystals removed with them, but had to take him to emergency vet for monitoring anyway.Turns out we would have saved 800.00 if we would have had it all done in one place.MONEY HUNGRY VETS!!  5/31/15   1     3     2     1   WHERE VETS LOVE MONEY. I brought my cat in to this vet for a specific issue, the vet checked her out and said its her teeth and she needs surgery, ok, so I trusted him and got the surgery. A few days after surgery she still had the same issue. I called them, emailed them and called them again finally being able to speak to the vet and was told her issue is probably just a habit, funny how they didnt see this as just being a habit in the initial appt. Long story and many dollars later this little habit eventually ended her life. The entire ordeal was so overwhelming. Some vets wouldnt even come out to answer questions. Very sad that they manipulate people when they are most vulnerable. I feel they will upsell everything they can right up to the last day of your pets life. Please get a second opinion before making important decisions. I will have to live with the pain, loss, guilt and regret for life and hope that no one else has to go through what we have endured. RID: 57225
Click to report rating    6/30/14   1     3     3     1   This place doesn't really care about your pet just how much money you have in your pocket. As soon as I walked in with my dog they tried to sell me training for him at the time he was only three months old and I came in for his booster shots, they also tried to sell me there dog food. RID: 52334
Click to report rating    1/10/14   3     5     5     2   Although I have used this clinic years, there have been several incidents where my pets had been misdiagnosed (correctly diagnosed at other locations including Emergency clinic). They also have insisted to keep my pet overnight for supervision during an emergency even though they clearly stated no one would be at the clinic for over 8hrs. They also seem to be one of the more expensive vets in the area. RID: 49161

7/22/13   1     2     2     1   This place is a rip off , no one returns calls and everything I mean everything is double price.there front girls are Rude.all they care about is money, my dog has seizures and they know nothing I found more on the Internet then they know period. They don't explain any plan of action to cure this and I had to give or request any tests. Please do not take your dog there! Research a vet and ask lots of questions, it's been a month and still no call back from them expect Laura a front desk girl said I only get two weeks medicine and I need another blood test which I just did 3-4 weeks ago. Waste of money this place RID: 45781

2/11/13   2     4     4     2   We had been taking our dog to Tutor Glen for the last 5.5 years. Our dog has been fairly healthy his entire life and only needing to come in once or twice a year for check-up and various other minor things. I have been extremely disappointed the last few visits. This clinic seems to go through veterinarians very quickly (almost monthly it seems like another one is gone). Our dog has never seen the same vet twice with the exception of Dr. Wilde (only twice). Each time we have left I feel as if they have spent the majority of the appointment trying to up sell me on procedures, medicines and food and hardly anytime addressing my questions and dogs needs. I have since switched clinics were the veterinarian takes the time to explain everything to me and generally cares about his well being rather than trying to up sell me on every little thing. I would not recommend this clinic, over priced, high turnover and generally feel they care more about selling than taking care of the animals. RID: 40323

1/13/13   5     5     5     5   First time at this vet, open on a Sunday, with appointment available. The vet and staff were very respectful of my cat, and gentle with her. Found them as caring toward senior animals (my cat is over 20 years old) as most other vets are toward the cute and cuddly puppies and kittens? The staff at my old vet have been getting worse and worse, to the point my cat could hardly walk for 2 weeks after the last visit from being man handled and I ended up in the hospital from being bitten. This vet and staff listened to me about how painful her back legs are, how badly she responds to blood work, and how much calmer she is if we stay with her. This visit was the first time in about 2 years I haven't been stressed out coming out of the vet's office! They did show us products (food, supp.) that are specific to her conditions, that we were not aware were available for her, and would make her more comfortable at her age. But we did not feel they were being pushed at us! Bill was very reasonable. RID: 39596

7/24/12   5     5     5     5   I have been taking my pets to this clinic for years and I am very happy with the care my animals have received. Over the years I have seen a number of vets here and I have no complaints about any of them. Everyone I have dealt with has been kind, friendly, honest, and during the hard times, compassionate. I recommend this clinic to everyone! Dr Wilde in particular has been a wonderful vet. She has taken great care of my pets over the years and while she has been busy away from the clinic taking care of her little ones she has filled the clinic with other lovely competent vets. We miss her when we go into the clinic now but the level of care we receive has not suffered. RID: 36031

7/9/12   5     5     5     5   I have just recently gone though a very hard time with my bunny, who was diagnosed with GI stasis and took nearly 8 weeks to recover, despite being 'promoted' to more aggressive treatment after a week of not responding to the standard methods. After almost 8 weeks of round-the-clock syringe feedings and countless medications, she is better. I can confidently day that if it were not for the dedication of Dr. Petra Warnock, my little bunny would not be here today. She even took her home to monitor her the first night, and woke up every few hours to feed her and give her Sub-Q fluids! I am amazed that she was willing to do that for my bunny (they truly treat them as if they are their own little fur children!). The staff was wonderful at always fitting us in and making sure all of my (many) phone calls and questions were answered. I cannot thank them enough. They went way above and beyond. And for those hung up on price: every cent I spent was well worth it. They saved my bunny's life! RID: 35549
Click to report rating    6/20/12   1     3     2     1   I used to take my dog here but left 2 years ago and havent looked back. First off, I feel like no one in this clinic would go out of their way to approach my dog, talk to her, or try to make her feel more comfortable; which was very dissapointing to me since these people should be animal lovers. secondly, it felt like everything is about making money. This clinic is fairly high priced and won't give you a break on any little thing. I felt like i could not trust them and the treatments they were suggesting for my dog. There were dollar signs in their eyes for sure. Not sure how they have been voted st alberts best vet... RID: 35089
Click to report rating    5/16/12   3     4     4     2   The staff is friendly and the vets seem knowledgeable. However, the front desk staff doesn’t appear to be in any hurry to serve you. I also feel like the cost of services and prescriptions is high. I have to wonder just what portion of my treatment fee goes towards paying for the free fresh ground Starbucks coffee and other refreshments as well as their renovated waiting area. It may be just perception, but their fees seemed more reasonable before they renovated their waiting area. I decided not to have them fill my dog’s prescription as I could get it filled elsewhere for significantly lower cost. Although they had already prescribed the required medication, they charged me an $8 to write it on a piece of paper so that I could get it filled elsewhere. They charged me this fee on top of the $380 bill I was paying at the time for treatment they had just provided. I will be going elsewhere for my vet services. RID: 34268
Click to report rating    4/14/12   4     5     5     4   I have looked all over at prices of veterinary care in Edmonton and St Albert and Tudor Glen is no more expensive then anyone else. At the recommendation of one of my friends, I took my dog in for care when he tore out a nail. I had nothing but great care and everyone seemed to care very much about him. I have read through all of the reviews and have to say that my experience here was very good. I will continue to use this clinic. RID: 33530
Click to report rating    4/12/12   1     2     2     1   I took my cat who passed away in August to this clinic for years. We were very happy with Dr.Wilde and she was amazing help when my cat developed diabetes but over the years it gradually went down hill. Dr.Wilde was always gone so we had to keep seeing random doctors. In October I got two new kittens and decided to bring them back there for at least a couple of check ups with a new doctor. In January one of my kittens tragically passed away while he was eating his food. It was a very traumatic experience for me and my mom and very little was explained to us and we received very little sympathy. Alot of comments, about how expensive everything is and I would have to agree. It never used to be that expensive, I remember getting needles for my diabetic cat and at one time the price had increased by like $30! Definitely searching for a new vet for my future animals.  1/7/12   5     5     5     5   I recently adopted a cat from Tudor Glen. He had been on the streets and someone brought him in during the first big cold spell. They nursed him back to health. While getting him I learned they had several cats for adoption that were rescued during the cold. They even have a clinic cat that was frozen to the road when they got her. Dr. Wilde had to remove a leg and her tail but they pulled her through. I was very impressed that they would do this for these cats, especially since no one was paying for it. I think they truly love pets, like their logo says. RID: 30358
11/17/11   1     1     1     1   I would never take any animal to this clinic. I had three separate cases where my animals came out worse than they went in. Tammy Wilde is NOT someone I would ever recommend. All they seem to care about is how much money they can make off you. IMO Tammy takes on cases that are way out of her expertise and the animals are the ones to pay the price. How they keep saying they are rated number one in St Albert is beyond my comprehension.  7/25/11   1     2     1     1   It would seem that this vet has turned into a sales team, they tell you whatever your pet is eating is wrong and is not as good as the food they are selling. You go in for a simple procedure for your pet, and come out with 2 other quotes for something that is not even an issue. I realize they are a business but did not realize they were selling used cars. They are pushy for upselling, very slow in doing anything, if your sheduled for 10am you will be waiting 30min to see the vet for sure. this is not a 1 time experience they do this every time. I wish I would have know about this site earlier as I would not have taken my pets there at all. after our exam was done we waited another 20-30 min to get the bill only to be handed 3 other quotes for stuff for our pets. I like a couple of people there but the rest are USELESS. Do your research before you go here for sure. Something has changed and I think its for the worse. Also make sure you have extra time to waste when you go. RID: 26440

Click to report rating    4/5/11   4     4     3     2   The care here is reasonably good. Your pet is well taken care of and I do believe that the folks here do care about animals. That said, they are like every other vet clinic. Animal medicine is a "for profit" industry. They will overcharge and oversell whenever they can. (A little taste of what our American friends go through for human care!) Do your research. Comparison shop. If you don't like the price you pay there for medication (and you may not) then get your care there and the meds somewhere else. RID: 24137
Click to report rating    3/22/11   5     5     5     4   I have been taking my dog here for 10 years and have been totally impressed by the wonderful service, knowledgable staff and great doctors. Would recommend this hospital to anyone in a heart beat. The staff has always treated my pet with loving care and concern. RID: 23763
Click to report rating    1/24/11   1     3     3     1   My cat was licking her stitches from her spaying and I drove into St. Albert from my outoftown acreage and forgot my purse. I was told that they couldn't give me a $5-$10 cone for my cat because money was more important than the animal. AFter after spending over $2000.00 in less than 2 months on my 4 cats and 2 dogs, they couldn't trust me for the money. And I always paid my bills at the time of service. This was from the snooty pony-tailed girl that worked there. It was over a year ago but it still irks me. I normally would give my business to anyone here in Tudor Glen because I also own a business here, but not to them anymore. RID: 22323
Click to report rating    9/14/10   1     1     1     1   I went to bring my dog to have her ear checked. While I was there I asked if they could 'trim' her nails. They took her to the back, and I heard her yelp. So I opened the back door of the room & saw her pinned on the table with a muzzle on. She was freaked out. Before this I never had a problem trimming her nails. When the vet tech brought her out I asked what that was all about. In frony of everyone in the office she said ' your dog bit me in the groin area'. I was shocked at first as she is not aggressive. I took her home & later that day her nail started to bleed. I looked & they had cut it alomst to the ball of her paw!(I could not stop the bleeding with corn starch) I called the Emergency vet for advice. She was in alot of pain. I went back & spoke with someone. They brushed it off like "oh it's not that bad!' They offered me a bag of dog food for compensation. No pain meds either. I have pictures, it was almost an amputation. I will never go back there again. RID: 19726
8/16/10   1     1     1     1   I went in and asked for some wormer, staff were very unproffessional in there snotty answer. That was a real turn off, I would NEVER take my pets there. RID: 19247
Click to report rating    8/6/10   1     1     1     1   Could not believe how rude the vet was. They say Vets Love Pets but it truly should read Vets Love Money. If you like assembly line offices you will like them. If you Truly care about your animal do your research and ask or demand answers.I felt so guilty that I could have put my animals in harms way by trusting this facility.!!!Flashy webpages and free refreshments do Not make up for quality vet care!!!! RID: 19108
Click to report rating    7/21/10   5     5     5     5   My pets go to Tudor Glen and I have always been happy. The staff are very friendly, they will even help carry food out to your car! I love the fact that they have digital x-ray, so when my dog was limping we were able to see that he had a broken toe immediately, and his paw was bandaged before a regular x-ray would have even been done. Also, I know that when I bring my pets there I am getting up to date information on anything that could be wrong (and I have two dogs and three cats, so the odds are good). They are big on preventing problems before they occur, which I like because I want to jeep my pets as healthy as possible. I also don't think they only care about the money, they have always discussed any costs with me and I have never been overcharged on anything, and any extra costs were always talked about first before being done. I know they are a good clinic and want to provide the best for each and every pet that walks through the door, so I would recommend them to anybody. RID: 18893

6/6/10   1     1     1     1   Some staff can be nice enough, but, most of them don't smile and are arrogant snobs. Money ALWAYS comes before the care of your pet - seriously, they're mean. They say they follow "guidelines" and their "policies" - your animal is not different than any other: i.e. each animal has to follow the same policy or rule even if it compromises the health of your pet. They over charge for everything and I've been called a thief when I didn't have $25 on a $300 bill. Not only that, one of my dogs missed a treatment that day. As well, they do procedures that aren't necessary. They have also messed up the order of chemo my dog was supposed to get - I caught it - they were lucky. My last visit, which I thought would be an adult discussion - turned out to be coercion, verbal and mental abuse, physical harassment; and, to top it all off I was threatened, my character and morals were slandered and my encounter with this person was complete defacement of me. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. RID: 18278
Click to report rating    4/7/10   1     1     1     1   Three separate incidents that caused our pets to suffer. Requested a specific shot not to be given to our pets, somehow they received that shot and got ill. In house urine analysis results were incorrect resulting in treatment for no reason. Last straw was a regular monthly shot was three times the correct dosage. If they were the last vet on the earth we wouldn't take our pets there. RID: 17419
Click to report rating    6/17/09   1     3     1     1   This vet clinic permenately damamged my dogs ear. We took her in to have her lobe drained, due to an aural hematomea, we reminded the clinic (in writing) that she has a blood clotting disorder (of which this clinic had tested for when she was spayed) but the vet still cut her ear wide open. It has not healed to this day, which is 1 year later, and her ear is permenately deformed. RID: 13214
Click to report rating    6/16/09   5     5     5     5   The Tudor Glen Vet clinic is an exceptional facility. I recently had to do the hardest thing in the world and put my little furry friend to sleep, and I couldn't have been treated nicer or with more respect. Everyone there knew that this was such a hard decision for me, and nothing was rushed, and I felt like the one and only client there, as attention was payed in full to me and my furry pet. I thank Dr. Wilde for her understanding and all her kind words, during this very difficult time for me and my family. I hope that everyone that has to go through something so hard and heartbreaking has such a wonderful facility and vet to get them through their difficult time. RID: 13192
Click to report rating    11/22/08   1     3     3     1   The vets & most of the front desk people have all been very helpful & friendly, except one of the girls at the fr.desk is VERY uppity and has a very bad attitude. I had 5 cats spayd/neutrd in less than 2 mos plus shots for 5 cats & 1 dog. I was short $10 out of hundreds (which are paid in full!) to get an elizabethan collar for 1 of the cats & was told "too bad, no money no collar" & that the policy is "money comes before the pet's health". I am put off with this place; I came here because I have a flooring store next to them & wanted to give them my support. 2 of their other patients were referred by me. My piddly $10 meant more to them than my cat's health. I would have to drive out of town to go home to get my db card to get the $. As I understand it, the spay/neuter fee also covers one return visit for any realted problems. I spayed/neutered 4 other animals & didn't use that priviledge. I will not be recommending this clinic to any of my customers. RID: 10671
Click to report rating    3/7/08   5     5     5     5   Nothing compares to the knowledge, care and compassion this clinic has provided for my pets. Be it a routine vaccination, or something serious, I have trusted this clinic to take care of my pets needs, and the results have been outstanding. Every step is clearly discussed with you, any options available, and they go far beyond expectation with their genuine care and concern for all my pets. They love animals, and it shows when they handle them and talk to them. It is a comfortable place to be, and I am thankful that there is such a wonderful clinic to bring my animals to. RID: 7645
Click to report rating    1/10/08   2     3     3     1   This vet was recommended to me when I moved to St. Albert, and they were helpful on a couple of occasions. Nothing extraordinary, but helpful. The last time I was there, I just needed blood run on one of my dogs. This dog hadn't been to their clinic before, but I knew she wasn't well, and just wanted to check her levels. Once they took her in the back room (which was unnecessary, in any case), they came back out to tell me they couldn't run blood without an exam. I told them to go ahead and do one, but was told that they didn't have time (even though I'd made an appointment a couple of days before). Long story short, it was pretty clear that they were more concerned about the money for the exam, than about the welfare of their patient (who they had still not brought back out to me). I was left with nothing to do but demand they immediately give me back my dog, and have never been back. RID: 6911
Click to report rating    11/9/07   4     4     4     4   I've been bringing my dogs there for about 3 years now. The staff is friendly and professional. Tammy is our vet and I've found her to be very knowledgeable and professional. I've had my one dog in for surgery twice and both times he's come through wonderfully. Considering that he's a 13 year old golden, that's saying something. RID: 6400
Click to report rating    9/21/07   2     2     1     1   Dr. Tammy Wilde is an apparition. In the three times I brought my dog into see her I never once met her, even when I insisted on speaking to her in person! I wonder if she was even in the office. Instead I spoke to a man doing renovations in her clinic. Our dog went into their office fine and healthy for a neutering and came out limping terribly. I brought him back for x-rays and was told he was fine (by an assistant, the vet still wouldn't talk to me). He wasn't fine. New x-rays by another vet showed he had a fracture. I still couldn't even tell you what that vet looks like and two letters sent registered mail requesting the return of the exorbitant funds I paid her be returned went unfulfilled. Absolutely the poorest service I have ever witnessed in a vet. Her lack of care and professionalism was shocking. RID: 5957
Click to report rating    8/26/07   5     5     4     5   Went to see Dr. Tammy Wilde after my first vet refused to x-ray my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel's chest at the age of 7 years. Dr. Wilde, like many vets, wasn't aware of the high death rate in this breed due to enlargement of the heart, but she did the x-ray as requested and found a significantly enlarged heart and started treatment right away. She then made sure to find out more about the breed, and consulted with a vet cardiologist to make sure her treatment knowledge remained up to date. Our dog lived for another 3 years, and she keeps a close eye on our other Cavalier, who is now almost 12 years old and healthy - very rare in this breed. She never minimizes our concerns, is punctual, and remembers who our pets are. Her staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They keep in touch with us and send reminders when it's time for an annual exam. I'm so glad we found her. RID: 5756
