I have only great things to say about this clinic. I have 2 large labs that have been with dr. Bredehoeft for 5 years now and he and his staff are amazing. Every time I have a question or a problem everyone is so nice and the doctor immediately gets back to me and really seems to care. I have had bad experiences with clinics before and I will never go anywhere else but Switzerland Animal Hospital.

After arrival, check-in and escorted to a private room, a matter of fact gentleman came in the room. He was wearing no name tag and did not introduce himself. He weighed my pet, asked what was "goin'n on at home", then he scooped up my pet and said he'd return shortly. After fifteen minutes, he returned and said my pet was fine,....we'll get ya checked out soon, any questions? ". WHAT? I asked, where is the Vet? He said, " we look at 'em in the back". Uh, what? I asked to see the Vet and a young gal came in the room, did not introduce herself, nor was she wearing a name tag. I asked why was my pet not examined in front of me and she said, we do it all in the "back". All staff, including what I assumed were the tech's, acted very uncomfortable, uneasy and did not like answering my questions. I will never be back. I have no idea what happened to my dearly loved pet while she was out of my care. I'm shy/not confrontational and was intimidated after my polite questions we

Our elderly cat was losing weight, not eating, had some blood in urine. Dr. did some tests, enema, gave fluids, kept cat overnight (approx. $500). Dr. recommended we have a bad tooth pulled and full dental exam, x-rays, etc. - gave us an estimate of $500. We said we would consider it and took our cat home. Cat was no better, still would not eat, slept all day. A week later, with no improvement, we took him in for the dental work. We thought it would help. Dr. performed all dental work, including extractions ($500) and THEN called us to tell us cat had a tumor at back of tongue. He said there was not much that could be done. We had cat put to sleep.

The pets in our family have been clients of Dr. B's for over 7 years. Whether introducing a new pet to the family, or painfully parting with an older one, Dr. B and his staff have provided not only top level medical care but that all important, and often forgotten, element of true caring. I highly recommend this clinic, its doctors and staff for your pets medical needs.

Sadly my mother-in-law used this vet for her large dog. The staff could not handle him at all. When she would need to board him they would give him medication to calm him down, I knew this dog and he was not over active and no problem what so ever. His size was the only thing that made him intimidating. He ended up having a procedure and many different members of the staff took care of him at different times and they ended up overdosing him with many medications that killed him. After he passed my mother-in-law picked up his records and researched the medications they gave him and online it stated in MANY areas not to combine any of them together. Very sad story. Be careful if you have an overactive or large dog. I also took my dog to get spayed and I was VERY disappointed with the bandage used to cover her stitches. I bought better materials myself than they provided and stopped the bleeding that was happening when they gave her to me!
