We starting going to this vet when we moved to the area about 9 months ago. I would never go anywhere else again. We see Dr. Duncan and he is the best vet we have ever had. I can tell he really cares about the well being of our dog. She was in a horrible accident right before the move and under Dr. Duncan's watchful eye she returned to perfect health (it was a miracle!) Our previous vet had suggested surgery but it was not needed and we were thankful for Dr Duncan's wait and see approach. He doesn't push procedure's or medicines that are not necessary as other vets have done to us in the past. Also he explains everthing very well. I've been to other vets and felt like I had no clue what was going on and Dr. Duncan takes the time to explain it well and weigh the options with our older dog. I would highly recommend Oakland Animal Hospital and Dr. Duncan. All the staff are understanding, caring and helpful. I wish more vets were like this one.

I have been taking my cats here for years. After taking one of my cats to numerous other vets to help with an anxiety disorder, Dr. Pillsbury was the only one who knew right away how to treat it and I walked out feeling that finally I had a solution to this issue. Over the years my cats have seen the other vets as well and I've always been very happy with how they are treated and the treatment that they give. I don't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

The staff of Oakland Animal Hospital is terrific; best I have seen. I am a fellow veterinarian directing vet tech program in Port Huron. I have done a clinical day randomly to keep up on information and techniques. This is the most efficient, well-run, and clean facility I have seen in the 29-years since my graduation from vet school. I trusted them to neuter and declaw my cat and treat my cat another time for another problem. Both personal experiences with my own cats were excellent. Front office staff top-knotch. Drs. Monica, Duncan, Gillespie, and all very knowledgeable and competent in my humble opinion.

Would not recommend. For any complicated diagnosis or surgical procedures, don't go there. OK for routine vaccinations. Make sure you do all of your research before agreeing to any surgical procedures, even vaccinations. Two other friends of my had similar experiences as well. Be warned.

My husband and I have taken our animals here for YEARS! I would highly recommend Dr. Duncan, Dr. Matyas, Dr. Overla and Dr. Monica. They will do anything and everything to help and are very caring and knowledgeable. The facility is clean and does not have an odor at all like some other clinics I've walked into. The only drawback is, yes, they are a little pricey. But what vet isn't anymore? I would rather pay a premium and know my pets are getting excellent care. Their medications are on the pricey side, but they will meet prices from mail-in places if possible.

Great doctors and caring staff. I have had to put two pets to sleep here. The docs tried everything they could to make them healthy. My only complaint is that they are considerably higher priced than other vets in the area.

OAH has some of the most knowledgeable Vets around. They are not afraid to work together to solve a case either. Yes they are a bit more costly but they are a private practice and it is definitly worth it!! Each doctor is very good at the basics and excels in their own area which is comforting when your pet needs them. Just to add, they do work with Pug Rescue of Mi.

Their fees are terrible. They charge you $12 just to walk in the door and wait for an appt. Then another $48 to examine your pet. When eer you call you are always on hold forever-most of the time they end up fogetting about you. They Do not work with rescues that i know of either. They will also declaw without spaying or neitering
