Best decision taking our dog to West Brant. Staff are very kind and Dr. Harkness is amazing! . Due to COVID, we had to remain outside, which was hard but felt reassured after speaking to staff before they took him in. After examination Dr. Harkness came outside, on a damp and drizzly day, and spent at least 20 minutes talking with us. He has even called to follow up. Excellent care from this veterinary hospital.

I, over time have visited a number of vets. By far, West Brant Animal Hospital is my favorite. They are knowledgable,compassionate,and fair. You can talk to them and they listen.If my dog could he would give them 5 stars,he can't so I will do it for him.*****. Thank You Bill Thompson.

The vets and staff are all friendly and truly care about the welfare of your best friend. Dr Kylie was great and explained everything. I found out about this clinic when I was dog sitting for a friend and had to take him in for treatment. Best Vet Clinic ever.

We have been going to West Brant for many years and have visited many times for both routine checkups and vaccinations to more major issues. Every time we have had the best care given our dogs. The care of the vet techs is outstanding and the knowledge and care of the vets cannot be beat. once instance was one of our dogs "ate" something while on a walk and developed a stomach issue with vomiting and diarrhea. It was a serious issue but our little Sadie came through just fine. Highly recommend this vet clinic/hospital.

We came to the WBAH after a very bad experience with another local vet clinic. We have always been impressed with how great they treat our scaredy cats. They are calm and patient with the pets and excellent with the owners too. Most vets just push the food that they sell but WBAH was very understanding of our desire to feed as holistic and species appropriate as possible, which is huge to us and rare to find.

Dr Kevin Harkness recently neutered Luther, our Cane Corso puppy. We have been coming to West Brant for 13 years. We drive to the clinic from north of London because we trust Dr Harkness. He is an excellent communicator that listens to our questions and explains things so we can easily understand. By far, the best vet ever!!! Highly recommended!!!

Amazing service! I brought my cat and was treated like family from all the staff. They fit me quickly two days in a row and even called the next mornings to check on his progress!! Great support from the staff! Will definitely be bringing the rest of my pets there from now on!!

Dr. Richards is the best vet!She is very thorough,knowledgeable and always kind and caring with my dogs. She fully explains her diagnosis and planned treatment. I trust her completely with the health and wellbeing of my dogs.Keep up the good work Dr. Carol! As well, facilities are always clean. The only small complaint I have is that when arriving at clinic to reception desk, sometimes the reception staff do not acknowledge with a hello or smile. Heads are down at computers.I believe in customer service, it is alway important to acknowledge customer and make them feel welcome. This is not a reflection on all staff, they have been mostly friendly, zccomodating and willing to help.

I am very happy with this vet clinic. I called them about my St. Bernard. I have never been there before, they got me in almost right away that day. When I took him in the vet determined his problem very fast. Even though it was a very rare problem the experienced vet knew what it was right away. My boy is doing so much better now. The vet himself also personally called me a couple days later to check up on his condition, which to me was awesome. Extremely happy with them. I would strongly recommend this vet clinic to anyone and there 4 legged companion.

I have had all of my dogs health issues taken care of with a very high rate of success and compassion from WBAH. I would happily recommend them to anyone. I have been very impressed with how polite the staff are. I feel like my dogs well being is put before anything which is amazing and the cost has been very affordable as well. Thanks WBAH I will always be returning to your facility with my dog and future pets as well.

We've had the opportunity to see Dr. Harkness, Dr. Donahoe and Dr. Butler. They are kind, caring and compassionate. All the staff are wonderful - warm and welcoming. They provide excellent care at a reasonable cost. Five stars!

The staff at this clinic clearly care very much about the animals they serve. They're always very kind and reassuring with my cat - they make sure to give him a good scratch on his back, and speak to him very sweetly. They also advised us of what options we had when our cat developed an eye ulcer, as well as the approximate prices. We had a ton of questions about his condition, and Dr. Jessika answered them all very patiently and was very informative. A great clinic with convenient hours for people who work weekdays - you can't go wrong with this place!

Over a number of years Kevin and his staff have always treated me and my pets with the utmost care and respect. I have been dealing with this clinic since they opened! My 9 year old Rotti has been a patient since she was 4 mos every year faithfully for her annuals+ and I have always had the same treatment despite the upgrades the clinic has recently undergone. Yes, sometimes I wait a bit longer in the room when they are busy, but its WORTH THE WAIT! The Staff are welcoming and remember who I am and my pets. The prices are FAIR and I truly feel that Dr. Richards and Dr. Harkness are true animal lovers. I trust they would always do what is best for my pets, even if it means referring to Guelph for a surgery. In July I lost my older dog, a lab x, 14.5yrs to heart failure and Dr.Richards was so compassionate about her euth, she even came outside to my jeep because my old rescue girl was scared of the clinic setting. I will ALWAYS remember her compassion. I love the wonderful relationship I have with my vets and I send anyone who asks me in that direction because I would trust them with my own life.

the clinic just celebrated it's 8th year, and I have been a client every step of the way. i had my two senior cats both put down there, the after hours vets - cried right along with me. Dr. Harkness is truly the best, most caring vet I have ever met. He makes personal phone calls to see how everything is going, he goes over and above, for his clients, their pets, and his staff. He will make sure you have all the answers you need. He supports his local shelters, he has put his neck on the line for cruelty investigations, he is one of kind, I am grateful that I have Dr. Harkness as my vet - it is worth the drive to West Brant Animal Hospital.

I've been using this clinic for two + yrs now and I find the Dr's to be great! On the other hand, the staff and the way I've been treated over the last few visits have left me discouraged. Two visits ago I was left in a treatment cubicle for over 40 mins with my 2 yr old son and a 1 yr old dog. This was very stressful! When I asked why things were taking so long they said they were behind and apologized. I most recently went to the clinic with the dog for the annual visit and arrived 10 minutes late. They told me I was too late and would have to wait until the dr was done with the next appt...hmmm? Do they really book their appts that tight? If so, do they really care about my animals if this is the case? Not to mention the tone and lack of presence of the front desk receptionist who really could care less about me or my dog. I agree with the other writers. This clinic has lost sight of their purpose by getting too big too fast. I'm moving on somewhere else!

In the beginning they were awesome; they had after hours for my dog who had allergies and reactions to many things. A few years later my dog had a lot of pain. So it became at least a monthly visit to the vet; each time they would say "arthritis, maybe just pulled something, nothing seems to be wrong" ect ect. I knew in my heart there was something with my dog; I could see the intense pain he was suffering. I felt like they listened to what I said but did not put enough effort into finding the problem. I was constantly going for so many months trying to figure out what was wrong with my baby, and all that they did for me was not diagnose him accurately. I strongly believe if I was going to a different vet they would have caught what was wrong with my dog before it was too late.

I was very disappointed in the mis-diagnosis that the vets at this clinic provided to me in regards to my dog. On multiple occasions they provided different diagnosis even though I kept insisting that something was wrong. Due to the misdiagnosis and the decline in his health I had to have my "best friend" put down. I now have a new puppy and have found another vet clinic in Brantford as I would not recommend this clinic after the experience that I had.

Dr Kevin Harkness is an awesome vet. Always helpful and has a pragmatic approach to keep costs down but still provide top-notch care. Him and his staff truly LOVE what they do and do it WELL.
