Click to report rating    8/31/11   5     5     4     5   I've been taking my pets to Dr. Pope since I moved to the area in 2008. And I have to agree that Dr. Pope is brutally honest and sometimes gruff. However, he is also one of the best vets that I've dealt with. And while he does have a rough personality, he has never been rude to me. He will tell you exactly what he thinks is wrong with your pet and exactly what the treatment should be. And I've always appreciated that honesty. I've learned to trust his opinion after he was spot on for several diagnoses. I've also noticed that they've been doing a much better job recently of shortening the wait times for appointments. During my last few trips, I've only had to wait 15-20 minutes for my pet to be seen, which I feel is normal and within reason. RID: 27289
Click to report rating    8/25/09   3     4     1     1   Dr. Jeffery Pope told me to throw my dog over a bridge after comming out of the hospital. He yelled at me during a follow up visit knowing how upset I was and how sick my dog was. I left there in a state of crisis for my animal in histerics after 5 yrs.. He took advantage of the fact that I carried Pet Insurance. My dog was given anal exames at $16.00 a pop for no reason or any anal problems. An ear cleansing was $15.00 when other places were free. $200.00 per ear infection. 4 hrs. to wait for an appointment when not busy. After my dog almost died in the hospital, and after 5 yrs. all he could ask me was; "So how long have you had Pet Insurance?" Dah. That's when I figured it all out. I was a first time mom as well. To take advantage of a sick animal in that way for the sake of making money is very in-humane and heartless. In my buisness (beauty) we say "Bad news travels fast." I warn all of my clients who are animal lovers. This was a horrible experience and we dogged a huge bullet. RID: 13991
