Amazing service. Treated both my young pup and I so well. Couldn't have asked for better car, the doctor even came in after hours to check on my pup to give me updates on him. Wonderful people. Will get all of my three dogs checkups/visits done there now.. :)

I found an injured seagull and the kind folks at this clinic were very accommodating ( no other local clinic would even examine it). The bird had a thorough exam, x-Rays and it was too far gone to be treated but was humanely euthanized at no cost to me! This was a shining example for the community! They cared about helpless wildlife!

I have a special needs dog. After years of poking, prodding, needles and pain; my dog has learned a healthy mistrust of the "vet" by that I mean both veterinarians and techs. The staff wasn't accommodating of his needs. While a couple of the ladies on the desk were lovely, the others were a bit more dry, let's say. Get 'em in, get 'em out. Seems to be the mantra here at the Sydney Animal Hospital. Which is fine if your your furry friend only sees the vet once or twice a year and hasn't built up a fear the way mine has. My guy needs extra time and consideration. I can't get that here so I am leaving to find a better fit. Unfortunately, I can't do that without paying for his records. Which in this part of the world seems to be an anomaly for a vet. A last ditch money grab from a patient they don't even want. The files aren't in boxes in a dark dank room. They are digital files. On a computer. E-mailable in 3 seconds. So disappointing.

This animal hospital has to be the very best when it comes to all my animals that I had. The current little guy,(cat) that I have they are fantastic with him and would not take him any where else. The Dr.'s ant techs and receptionists are awesome.

If there were a differentiation between the staff at reception and the doctors themselves, I would have given a very different rating. I find most of the receptionists at this vet to be very rude and dismissive. I feel so uncomfortable in the waiting room to the point that I am seriously considering finding another vet. The doctors are an entirely different story. I have hung on this long because i believe they give exceptional care. Although I gave a middle of the road rating for punctuality, I only did that for it to be accurate. I don't mind waiting in the least for the quality care that the doctors give to my pups.

My cat became very ill while I was visiting family in NS. She almost passed away due to a misdiagnosis at my vet in NB (she was diabetic and I did not know). Dr Parker took wonderful care of my baby. Everyone was very professional and they kept me updated daily on my cat's progress. I wish I could find a place like this close to home, their service was unmatchable.

I have been a client at this clinic for 10+ years. Have always been given choices with regards to diagnosis and treatment of my dogs. This is a very well equipped clinic with digital X-ray machine that can send an email copy for second opinion in just a click of a button. They were able to remove a lump off my dog with a laser scapel. This is such a high demand practice that it is not unusual to have to wait but you will get your time when it comes your turn. This clinic does not cost any more than any other clinic in the area. My dogs and I are always treated well here from reception through to vet care.

Ok value for your buck, and the girls at the reception are great! Was a little late in appointments, but that could have been overlooked if it was good service; but it was'nt. I made an appointment there because of the good ratings given by others on this site. I was very dissapointed, even scared for my animals well being. Now I have been an animal health care tech for MANY years, and have never seen any of the 'methods' she used. (I did not say a word of my experience, and watched her interact, since I need a vet I can trust) So right before I was about to knock her out, she luckily finished her 'exam' and stopped 'torturing' my pet, but then continued to try and sell me a whole bunch of treatments I know my pet did'nt need, and could actually be harmful if used or done when not needed. This was one of the vets who work there, I have not seen any of the others, but will most likely never step foot in there again. Unfortunate.

I have 6 cats and 2 large breed dogs. This hopital has become a second home to two my pets who are treated for chronic illnesses...The care we have received was awsome>>i cannot telll you how good Dr.Parker and her staff have been to us over the years. If you want a vet who cares and will do anything in their power to help both you and your animal, go to Sydney Animal Hospital..

I've trusted this clinic with most of my companions. I had to give them up, only because I moved to Halifax. However, when I had to put my (very old) dog down, they made it very peaceful and let me stay and hold him as long as I needed. Now, I have two pooches, one of which I traveled back to Sydney just to have my little guy's needles done! The receptionist is wonderful, as are the Dr.s!
