Have been with Machray Animal Hospital since 1997. They have seen my fur babies from kittens to seniors. The personal care and attention to my pets is top notch and the reason I have stayed with them. The staff treat you and your pet like family. The clinic is clean and bright and the veterinary staff always go the extra mile for your peace of mind.

We brought our dog in after he sustained an injury to his leg. After $500 in X-rays and keeping him all day, all the vet told us was that it was a soft tissue injury and to keep him on rest for a month.... She also offered to see a specialist which I wanted to do. I called back a few times hoping to speak to her about the specialist appointment, and never heard back once. They never even called to see how he was doing. We moved back to our previous vet clinic and have received MUCH better care.

Found the 2 receptionist very rude. Argued that I didn't have an appointment which in fact I did and they finally found my appointment. I have been going here for 27 years and have never been treated so rudely as I was today. I'm going to be looking for a new vet

I've been bringing my dog there for the last few years because of the convenient location. On the most recent trip, it turned out my dog had a corneal ulcer. A couple of examinations, medication (which I later learned from another vet were unnecessary), and $300 dollars later, the vet gave me the bad news. My "only" option at this point, was to have a surgery to have his eye removed. Thankfully I went to another vet, who was easily able to save my dogs eye with an ointment.

I've been taking my dog here for the last 11 years. She became really ill wasn't eating throwing up so I brought her in. They wanted 800$ for diagnostic tests. I couldn't afford that at the time I tired to ask them which ones would be most important and didn't really get much help. The took my dog for the x ray then showed me this ridiculous list of diagnostic tests and made sure to bring back my dog while I made my decision. They seemed pretty sure my dog had pancreatitis after much questioning by me. My background in the medial field helped me with this. Well I took her home started the IV at home and thankfully she's healthy again. Just for them to see her and take an x ray cost 300$. I guess because I didn't spend the 800$ they never did call and see how my dog was doing. But when she had surgery in her teeth and they were paid 600$ to do that I got a call to see how she was doing. I'll be taking my business elsewhere was really unimpressed with dr and staff

i paid this vet 20 bucks to trim my cat's nails. It's a good thing i looked at her nails a couple of weeks after the fact because they didn't clip them at all and her poor thumb nails were almost ingrown. Thanks alot you uncompassionate thieves. I don't recommend this vet to any animal. They should be ashamed of themselves!

Love Dr.McDonell she is amazing with all my animals now and in the past, I do agree ONE receptionest needs to find another job this is not her area and i have been going here from over 20 years. attitude still has never changed for the better.........

I found this to be an excellent vet. Dr. Keddie was so kind to my cat and sensitive to me. I will definitely be going back and advising people I know to go. Very clean facility as well.

The vets are great, but the receptionists are very curt and ****y on the phone. I inquired about home visits and I was cut off saying that they didn't do them (which in the past they had done) o.k. fine perhaps they didn't do them anymore - so when I asked if they knew of places that did home visits - the receptionist cut me off and said "you'll have to look in the yellow pages for that".

They do not care about the animals just dollars. receptionists are ****y and if you have a problem with your pet your better off finding another vet.

I recently took my 10month old frenchie there who has infection on her two hind legs. they gave her anti biotics, and pain killers. and told me to take her home. two days later her pads on her feet are falling off, and shes in extreme pain and I call them 15minutes before they close knowing they close, asking what I can do to get her through the night. they then put me on hold for 10minutes and then tell me they're closing up and to call back at 8am next day. poor practice if you ask me. I have no issues with the day staff, but that night staff is complete utter garbage.

I have taken all of my furbabies to Machray for over 20 years and will continue to do so. I find them extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. They are willing to listen to any research findings that I've brought to them and are always willing to try different things. I've seen every vet at this clinic and have recommended them to other furparents.

Dr McDonnell took care of my cocker spaniel for years. My dog had been uncomfortable with most vets but she could do whatever was needed and the dog trusted her. That was a big for me! It was the first time I ever had a vet that though about my dog when she wasn't there and things that could help with her allergy issues etc.

Found a vet here very rude and patronizing. Seems to be just out for the money. They must get a bonus for selling certain brands. They don't seem to care about my dog just about what they can sell to us. Happy now with a new vet.

I recently just took my dog there to get fixed and couldn't believe they handed me an obedience card for him since according to them he was very aggressive but lets make this clear when asked how he was with strangers I said he doesn't go around strangers. She asked me to leave so he would come with her. But apparently he had no intentions of doing so. She claims he started to lunge at her but it wasn't until they threw a blanket on top of him and scooped him up that he started to nip and bite. Then apparently bit her again when stuck with another needle. I don't know how they could put a name to my dog for being aggressive what do you call them for throwing a blanket over him and then trying to make him feel calmer??? seems to me its time for a new job because a vet is not where you belong.

I have been bringing my animals here for almost 20 years. This is by far the best clinic I have been to. My animals receive the best care and the doctors and staff always follow up with a phone call. I have a deadly allergy to latex and the staff take extra steps to insure that I am also alright and that my pet does not get contaminated with the allergen. I couldn't recommend a better place to get health care for my animals. Bravo Machray!

Dr. McDonell is the first Vet I have ever met that truly seems to love animals more than money. When my poor old dog was dying she treated her and let me leave a post dated cheque because she wouldn't watch the animal suffer just because I had no money at the time. She now sees my two collies and she's great, never be-littling or condescending and always so many hugs for the dogs.

I took my dog here and was ten miuntes late for my appointment due to the fact I had to rush home from work and then to the vet at the other side of the city. I also called to let them know I was running a little late, but that didnt seem to matter when i got there. The doctor was very rude and gave me attitude because I was late. She went on to lecture me about the fact that my dog was not spayed and just made me feel like a trible pet owner. I will never return there ever again. Terrible service.

I will NEVER use this vet again and will make sure no one I know does either. They took our money and almost killed our cat. I found a vet that cared and looked after him. I TRUSTED YOU

I have been seeing Dr. Deviaene with my dogs for years. The staff are very professional and always have time to answer my questions. I appreciate that they take the time to call and check up on the dogs after they have been ill.

Took my kitten in for what I thought might be an ear infection. They treated it as an ear infection and provided me with a weeks worth of medication. When my kitten’s ear was still waxy, I was told (after several tests) that it was an allergy and to put my kitten on vet food for the next 6 weeks and then come back to see if it made a difference. Six weeks, and no progress. I took my cat back to Machray and was told that they’d probably have to do surgery. I decided to get a second opinion at another veterinary office and I was told that my cat just had waxy ears. I will never go back to Machray!
