Click to report rating    9/21/09   1     5     2     1   My vet diagnosed my dog with a cornial ulcer caused by the groomer. When it didn't heal as fast as it should he referred me to Thomas Miller. Dr. Miller examined my dog and said the problem was not caused by the groomer but by ingrown eyelashes and my dog needed surgery which was going to cost just under $1,000 and wanted to do surgery the next day. He also said the ulcer was healed. Didn't make sense to me how could the ulcer be healed if the problem wasn't fixed and why was she fine when we took her to groomer and not fine when we picked her up if the problem was something that was already there. So I opted to wait. In 2 weeks she was fine with no surgery. My vet thinks that because the eye was irritated the ingrown eyelash may have caused a problem that when the eye is normal does not cause a problem. It cost me $100 for this bad advise. Thank goodness the red flags went off in my head and I did not agree to surgery. RID: 14333
