I have been here too many times to count in the past couple years. I'm always so grateful for the amazing service. The vet is so good with my cats. I hand raised an orphan kitten and all of the staff were so helpful during that time. It gives me piece of mind knowing there is a vet who cares as much as Dr. Carver. I'm always impressed with the rates in comparison to other vets in the city. I will continue going here for all of my pets medical needs. Thank you to all of the staff at Verona animal hospital, you guys are total rockstars!

I would score them in the minus, if it were an option. Although I have never taken my Pet there, I am currently trying to secure a medical file, more specifically a Rabies Certificate for a Dog they did previous treat that I now own. They will not cooperate, do now I am forced to re Vaccinate an Animal that doesn't need vaccinating. Totally disgusted with these people.

Our dog had previously been going to another vet who prescribed a special diet and some daily medicine for our small dog with bladder stones. I was unsure of the diagnosis so I went to Verona Animal Hospital for another opinion.
They corrected the previous diagnosis and recommended immediate surgery. The surgery was performed with a great amount of attention to detail. Our dog also needed a blood transfusion afterwards, and the staff were VERY attentive to our dog's needs during this process.
Every member of the staff team is extremely compassionate, intelligent and attentive to pets' needs. They put a GREAT amount of effort into making sure that my dog was cared for like it was their own. I am absolutely blown away by the work of the Verona Animal Hospital and I would greatly recommend them to anyone with pet needs.
If that wasn't enough, their prices were better than anyone else we talked to. Couldn't be more impressed with their work, especially that of Dr. Nilo.

I took my cat there right at closing and they stayed late to do surgery instead of either waiting for the morning or sending me to an after hours animal hospital which is what a lot of clinics would have done. The Assistants and Techs talk to me on the phone after appointments and are extremely patient and friendly. I couldn't be happier with this vet clinic! I 100% trust that they will not pressure you into costly procedures unless they genuinely believe that is what is best for your pet and I always want to do what is best for my pets.

Love this clinic,the staff makes you feel important. even though Dr carver is on a leave the staff is still great. but can't wait for Dr carver to return

I had a very bad experience , we thought our dogs tale was broken so they advised x Rays saying "I can tell right now it's broken we better do x Rays to make sure" 250$ later I go to pick up my dog, I pay and am waiting, the girl brings my dog out and hands me my leash not saying anything about how it went or what. I stood there a minute and she asks " did you not get your receipt" I said yes I did but is the vet not going to come talk to me and tell me how it went ? She said "there is no break and the vets in an appointment sorry, have a nice day" never again would I ever go there.

My 10 yr old rottweiler took sick last Thursday, he was treated for a 9 days stay in the clinic, he under went surgery and all kinds of things. Dr. Carver looked after my boy and she did a tremendous job, the entire team looked after him with companion and care. I want to personnel THANK Dr,Carver for all her care !!!! We took our pups here to be checked and given first shots. After waiting more than 1/2hr the pups were checked but not by the vet...thought she would have looked at then as the price wasn't very cheep. The records were VERY basic and incomplete as well as not even signed . Not impressed

Staff were very helpful to me and answered all of my questions. They gave me advice on how to prevent ticks and that I only really need to use Revolution up until the frost comes to stay, to help me save money. They were very respectful and kind when picking up my cats to be weighed. Overall, it was a very positive experience. There was another woman who came across stray kittens and was able to catch one and bring it in to the clinic. Staff bathed it to get rid of fleas, and provided a sample of flea/tick treatment at no cost to the woman because of her good deed. They even inquired about finding the other kittens from the litter to be rescued from the Human Society. I will be visiting this clinic from now on for all my pet health needs :)

Dr Carver and her partner are the best. The care and concern they show the pets and their owners is amazing. Our dogs love going to the vet. Highly recommended!

Dr Carver kept our GSD Graf alive for 8 additional months. We can't thank her and all the staff enough for the great care that Graf received. We are on our second puppy with this vet and all I can say is that I wish all vets were as good as Dr Carver. If you are looking for someone who really cares this is the place to go.

I brought my dog here 3 weeks ago, while camping, as she suddenly got disoriented/wobbly, couldn't sit up without swaying/falling, and stopped responding to commands. I panicked and called this (nearest) vet to ask for advice. They refused to answer ANY questions whatsoever on animal health until they "saw the dog", including whether I could give her food/water to help... I opted to not give her food in case the vet decided to induce vomiting, and rushed there.
I waited for 2 hours before being seen. The Vet said she may die, to put her on I.V. fluids & leave her overnight, then accused me of leaving illicit/narcotic drugs around. I left, fed my dog, and she was fine in 20min!!
After tons of research, I'm sure it was a sudden drop in blood sugar/HYPOGLYCEMIA, related to highly strenuous activity. This could have been easily treated yet the vet COMPLETELY ignored the free, simple treatment that a ANIMAL LOVER/CARING person would have given over the phone: SWEET/High Protein SNACKS.

Terrible experience. Facility was disgusting and dirty. Staff was rude. I was punctual but waited nearly an hour for a vet that didn't even spend 10 minutes looking at my dog.

My dog was refused treatment on Aug. 5 for a burst anal gland, he was bleeding, trembling with pain and couldn't even sit down. We recently moved into the area and even though Verona Animal Hospital is located 1/2 hr. away we drove there as that is the nearest vet. The sour-faced receptionist refused to treat my dog twice stating they were too busy with regular's appointments and then asking if we were regular customers. There was no one in the waiting room and no vehicles in the parkibg lot. I then drove another 1/2 hr. to Sydenham Vet Clinic who WERE busy but took the 15 minutes to see my dog and treat him. I am affiliated with a rescue network that deals with over 500 dogs annually but under no circumstances will I ever take another animal to Verona Animal Hospital.

I've used several vets in Kingston area - and the vets, techs and staff at VAH are excellent - I would not hesitate to recommend them. My pets have always received good care, and the staff take great care in their communication and explanations.

I regularly use this vet but a friend of mine her dog wad seriously injured the dog took off for a week and came back and we found out it got caught in a trap and it's two back legs were broken. We took her to this vet and they turned her away. Because it was the Friday before thanks giving weekend. And the fact she wasn't a client. We called 5 different vets and they turned her away once again. Finally we were able to get accepted at the nappenne vet. You don't know how much it broke my heart that we took our dog to the door of this place and the vet looked at her and she didn't admit her or even look at her! Anyhow we took her to the other vet and she had so much infection because she took off for that whole week she had to be put down.
