My experience with Dr. Hamilton in oncology has been incredibly worrisome and characteristic of complete negligence. I've had extreme difficulty getting calls returned in a timely manner from Dr. Hamilton in emergency situations & have seen zero concern or empathy exhibited towards both our dog and us in the process of treatment for canine lymphoma and the severe side effects that have ensued as a result. I have even received conflicting information from him and was told verbatim "oh if she's not drinking water that changes everything... you should probably just let her go" when I had relayed that SAME symptom days beforehand and been told by Dr. Hamilton that our dog was fine to proceed with chemo treatment that day. Money seems to be his primary concern, and he doesn't do his due diligence to understand holistically what's going on with our pet before giving treatment recommendations. Would never recommend Dr. Hamilton at GVS. No compassion or bedside manner.

My primary vet advised me to have my Ragdoll's heart checked and so sent me to this specialty clinic for an EKG. Scheduling was easy and timely and when I brought him in the staff was helpful and seemed compassionate. I lived nearby so I left him there for the procedure. Fortunately he passed and the final cost was the same as the one quoted. The only "complaint" was when I came back for the results, I think they lost track of the fact that I was waiting and so I got a little worried not hearing from them. On the other hand, once they brought him out, they were very open and clear on the results. I would have no problems returning.

No consultation little to no personal interaction with doctors - they schedule surgery send your pet home in critical condition and tell you everything went OK They charge you astronomical fees. No compassion for you or your pet. Not honest.

DO NOT take your animal to Georgia Veterinary Specialists! Please do your homework about honest and capable emergency/critical care vets PRIOR to an emergency or you may end up there & will get sold the Brooklyn Bridge. And your animal has a high probability of suffering greatly. Dr.Julie Duval has so little conscious she discharges animals that are in critical condition (to close out the credit card bill, yes!)while knowing that you'll be bringing the suffering animal back and starting up exhorbitant new charges. Dr. Mark Dorfman is the Medical Director & one of the owners. He will lay on the smooth talk after you've figured out that they're doing...padding the bills, selling extreme & expensive treatments. He will very kindly -- blow you off. Dr. Lisa Langs is willing to softly sell you one of these extreme procedures (not positioned as such, mind you). I suspect that she and other vets there get bonused based on how much billing they incur. PLEASE,don't risk it; GO ELSEWHERE.

This veterinary hospital is top notch. My cat was hospitalized here with a major health condition. The doctors as well as the technicians are skilled, dedicated and very caring. And, in addition to delivering excellent veterinary care, the personnel doted on my cat during her stay. I will gladly travel out of my way (30 miles each way) to this hospital because of the quality of care delivered.

Dr. J Duval, was hired to do Left Liver Lobe resection for benign liver cysts. Instead, she opened the more superficial cyst and left the engorged liver lobe and the other lg cyst compressing the L Hepatic Duct FORCING BILE TO DRAIN INTO MY DOGS BELLY! She claimed the tumor was unresectable after 2+hr. Then the when the Path returned as BENIGN she wanted to re-operate to remove the tumor=at full surgical fees! Get paid twice and do the surgery once. This is fraud. We no longer trusted her so a diff vet did the 2nd surgery and resected the tumor in 10min! But because Duval left BILE TO DRIAN into the belly my dog died from peritonitis. This is negligent! The peritonitis caused his GI tract to shut down so My dog died starving to death with his insides on fire! The Ga St Bd Vet Med is doing a thorough invest. If you or anyone you know has a complaint/Duval contact the Bd 478-207=2440. If you'd like to contact me casutton@ellijay.com
