I was later told there had been an emergency, but none of the front desk people could break away from talking about their hair to let me know. This is a chain vet, which should have been a red flag to me. As you might expect, they pushed expensive tests, teeth cleanings and various prescriptions on me and my very healthy dog. Don't bother asking about alternative therapies -- they are unknowns to these fast food vets. RID: 19709

Click to report rating    1/7/09   1     1     1     1   I was the last ROP student here. Everyone that i worked with here taught me alot. They let me go for about a week then took me back. I was told VCA didnt want ROP students in their offices and that i would be the last one. When everything started changing to VCA standards no one there seemed to like it at all. My friend took her dog there to be treated a few years after. It was nothing like i remembered. All the people were different. And the service was horrible. It didnt seem like they cared for her dog at all. That she was just another dollar sign... I would NEVER take my pets here after. RID: 11094
Click to report rating    7/27/08   2     2     1     1   I was treated horribly-extremely long waits-2 hours to pay my bill! Have seen 3 of their vets-cost $1600-and the dog is still suffering from the same problem! They immediately start with very expensive procedures! And then repeat them! I cannot believe any business could be run so badly. Every customer I talked to (and I had plenty of wait time) complained about how long it took to be seen and to pay the bill! Please find someone else who will care about your animal-not just how much money they can get out of you! RID: 9466

7/15/08   1     4     1     1   Our very old cat had a stroke: couldn't walk or stand or lift her head. We took her in to euthanize, a simple shot. An inexperienced vet took her away from us for a long time, brought her back with a device in her leg to help the vet give her the shot, and deprived us of our last little bit of time with her. We've had animals for years and have never had this happen. There was a more experienced vet on duty, but seemed more interested in teaching the new vet than in our pain at losing our beloved old girl. It was a terrible experience. RID: 9333
Click to report rating    5/25/08   1     4     1     1   Have had two bad expirences with this clinic. All they want is money. The staff was cold and uncaring....while I was there they spent a lot of time chatting and giggling. The vet pushed all kinds of expensive treatments. One shot he wanted to give my dog was a medication couldnt be found on the internet. Unless you are rich I wouldnt bother with VCA RID: 8606
Click to report rating    9/14/07   1     4     2     1   Overpriced, and their veterinarians impose their own "morals" on clients. Had a cat that was hit by a car, with a dislocated hip, broken leg and pelvis. Was informed surgery at cost of $1800-$2200 would fix it. Told them we couldn't afford it and to put the cat down. Dr. Kinney then told us, she wouldn't since she though it was still a viable cat - cat ends up starving itself at home in pain. No vet should have the right to refuse a client's request when the vet is not the one who will be responsible long term. RID: 5903
