Horrible service. The staff is very unhelpful, the owner/partner Tony never gets back to you when he says he will. I have been trying since July 29th to establish whether they are willing to work with a registered animal rescue to provide veterinary care and it's been disgraceful. It is quite clear this clinic is only in it for the money and definitely not the animals or the community. I would not recommend Park Vet Clinic to anybody.

A month ago my 12 year old Bichon Shihtzu had a stroke at home. I had only been to this Vet clinic a few times and had felt they were very professional and took great care of my dog.On the day he had a stroke I quickly called the Clinic to tell them I was on my way with Molson as something was wrong with him. The Reception said that my Vet was busy but she would get someone to look at him. The moment I walked in the door my dog was seen by
Dr. Michelle Meckelborg. She was very compassionate in giving us the bad news that there was nothing they could do for him. She told us they could maybe do some tests but in the end it would cost alot of money and we still may have to euthanized him because of the severity of the stroke. At that point I thought here is an honest person. She could have racked up a big bill for us. I also called her back a few days later just to talk about his conditon again and she was so caring. Also Dr.Rodriguez who was our Vet was very caring and compassionate.

Was told to neuter my male skinny pig and I did some research and found out it would not change his aggressive behaviour. They gave me a quote at first of $350 then I had to ask for an actual quote which was over $400. I would have spent all that money for nothing and put my pig at risk in surgery for no reason

I had and continue to have quite the opposite experience as the last review from February. ALL the staff seem very intelligent, the receptionists are full of information but they must double check with vets (legally) before answering medical questions. To me the fact that they confirm an answer with the vet is a good thing but I am a patient person who appreciates the extra mile. They were very caring, educated and yes the costs may be more expensive but you pay for the quality of the vets/equipment/meds you receive. If you want cheap and quick "fixes" this is not the place for you. If you prefer quality/ educated fixes then head to park vet.

I DO NOT recommend this clinic to anyone. The front staff are beyond rude and can't seem to answer simple questions that anyone working at a vet clinic should know. I asked a simple question about my puppies vaccine and the receptionist had no idea what I was talking about. You never get to see the same vet and there prices are WAY higher than any other clinic in the park. Would definitely recommend any clinic other than this one. Very disappointed.

Took my bichon in to have cysts looked at and removed and they kept pushing a tooth cleaning for very large vet bill but if you have "multiple" procedures they will reduce the cost - still costly and found them to be very pushy. The issue isn't the teeth its the cysts. Won't go back.

Nice building but really awful care standards. I had to take 2 of my lizards to see their reptile vet on an emergency basis. Both of these experiences were incredibly negative. First she almost caused my leopard gecko to drop her tail during the exam because she did not handle her properly. She also mis-labelled the prescription she sent home with her. I later found out after speaking with another vet that the dosage she told us to give was 10x the safe limit... and when I called to complain they laughed about it. They also botched a surgery on my horned dragon. They did not let him wake up in a safe place and he escaped. I got called down to the clinic to come catch him. Would never recommend this place to anyone with exotics.

I took my ferret here for 2 years. Every time i took her in, the vet bill was always over $100. When she had surgery, the secretaries talked to me and hubby like we were stupid. All they cared about was the money. Last check up, don't know what the doctor did but she poked a needle in my ferret's back and the poir thing bled for days. Doctor laughed it off told me my ferret might get hot flashes??? Nice bedside manner.

I take my cat Oreo to Dr. Cox. She is extremely articulate, knowledgeable and caring. Oreo has been diagnosed with diabetes and Dr. Cox called me herself with the results. She gave me the confidence and hope to help Oreo and get on with it. The vet tech taught me how to inject Oreo with insulin and she was very patient and kind. I was very nervous. No prob now! Today I had to get Oreo's leg x-rayed since he is limping. The receptionist had me sit in the lobby because she was concerned I may get warm in the examination room and have to sit by myself. I was almost tearful waiting to find out how my Oreo was so watching all the people and pets was a great distraction. A huge thank you to Dr. Cox, the vet techs and the reception staff.

I have taken my 2 dogs, kitten and ferrets to this clinic. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful! They have suggested alternatives when purchasing products to keep costs down...any procedures have been fully explained before hand and estimates have always been over the actual costs. Have never had a problem making an appointment and excellent hours. Will definitly keep taking my animals here and reccomend to anyone!

This is a beautiful clinic, but don't let the looks fool you. I started going here after I adopted my cat because they were close to home. I found the receptionists to be very rude and condescending, the doctors seemed as though they couldn't care less about my pets health, and after that they try to sell you the million products that they have in the waiting room. A regular exam is nearly 100 dollars, god forbid something is ever wrong with my cat. The worst point of this clinic for me was the tech's. I would bring my cat in for regular nail trims and on every occasion they cut his nails too short and you could see his poor paws had been bleeding. EVERY TIME. Not once was it mentioned to be that they had clipped to far or that they were sorry. I left Park after the last nail trim when they brought him back toe and one of this pads was clipped also. I took him to another clinic right away and was told nothing like that should ever happen. I am disgusted with this clinic.

Made us wait for an Emergency appointment. Had no idea of the severity of the situation. Had to do a survey first after waiting for 15 minutes. "Avian vet" had no idea that African Greys has red feathers on their vents and thought he was bleeding. Phoned me 3 times after this appointment telling me I had to do more tests.

It is a beautiful clinic with a professional staff and very thorough veterinarians. I was very impressed when I had to bring my sick gecko in. They were able to get me in quickly and the vet was very knowledgeable about my pet. I will most definatly be going back if my pet is in need.

Vet and staff are unabashed food salespeople. It's unprofessional and inappropriate. The majority of their lobby is full of merchandise, including fake beer bottle chew toys - yep, apparently this vet wants to teach our dogs to chew on glass! Don't waste your time with these clowns.

My dog had an emergency eye problem (retro bulbar abscess) that caused him an enormous amount of pain and could have killed him. He was dehydrated and not doing well at all. As a frequent patient, I thought they would get us in right away...NOPE, they made us book an appointment and wait...well, the receptionist did this and wouldn't even contact a tech or vet to at least look at my dog. I have never went back! Disgusted by that!

Brought my pet in for an exam because a friend told me the vets there are very thorough. My dog had been treated for arthritis for two years from another vet and the vet at Park Veterinary Centre diagnosed a bone cancer that had been missed at the last clinic. They also recommended blood testing that discovered early kidney disease while we could still do something about it - I wish that had been done for my cat, who died of kidney failure. This is a really nice clinic - clean and bright and modern. I have only met three of the vets that work there but each seems knowledgable and compassionate. With no hesitation I would go there or recommend someone else does for normal vaccines or health problems. They see pretty well most types of pets too, not just dogs and cats - while I was there I saw ferrets and a rabbit and lizard too.

The vet completely misdiagnosed an emergency eye injury, prescibed wrong meds, did unneccessary painful tests on my elderly cat. I ended up at the vet emerg where that vet didn't even have to take my cat out of the carrier to see injury. Told me to NOT use those meds and said the cat needed surgery pronto for an obvious eye puncture due to ulcer. The Park vet had told me he didn't even see an ulcer and he dyed the eye which is awful for the poor cat. My regular vet (saw park vet while mine was away) had been treating the cat for the ulcer and so I was suspicious when they couldn't see any ulcer let alone a compromised eye puncture! Never again will I take any pet there. Ridiculous. Such a deceivingly nice place with incompetent vet.
