Office is clean and modern, staff is friendly and Dr. Burke was wonderful. She took the time to talk to me and answer all of my questions, and the staff paid lots of attention to my dog (which he loved). Found my new vet for sure!

I can't begin expressing how wonderful Dr Burke and staff are! I have recommended her to anyone that would listen. She is the greatest. I have had dogs all of my adult life and been to many vets, but NONE could compare to Little Friends of Ferndale. She makes me feel at ease, as well as my pets. The GREATEST!

I love going to this veterinarian. I have been to many, and Dr. Burke is so great with my animals. She provides great alternatives for treatment and is very respectful of the client's wishes while keeping the best interest of the animal at heart always. Cool office also.

I wish I could rate higher than a 5! Dr Burke has been with us through the illness of our cat (he went into liver failure during the petfood recalls of 07) and her expert treatment bought him another year and a half of quality life we didn't think he'd had. She was there when he relapsed, and understood my panicked call when he passed away and I NEEDED to be reassured that my other cat was okay. We have brought countless fosters (dogs and cats) to her to be treated, always with the same, loving care. Her staff seems to genuinely KNOW each animal, and care about them deeply. She isn't afraid of aggressive treatment if that's needed, but also isn't afraid to play it conservative if she thinks it's best. I am THRILLED with her care, and will continue to bring my animals to her. I only wish she did more than dogs and cats. Her pricing is VERY fair, as well.

All the reviews i read here directed us to take our nervour kitty to Dr. Burke and that turned out to be a great decision. She understood our kitty's problems as a whole and took an entirely different approach to treating him. She really wanted to make sure my kitty was comfortable and she also made sure he would not have a lot issues readujusting to our multi-kitty household when he got back home. The staff were all SO nice, they went out of their way to help us, in several different ways, in the 30 minutes we were there. The vet costs were substantially lower than other vets we visited. Dr. Burke, her staff, and her facility are the best I have ever seen, and she now has two furry life-long patients.

Absolutely amazing vet! Dr. Burke explained ALL our options to us, and was as concerned about our well-being as "parents" as well as that of our cat. She truly has a holistic approach, which was very refreshing. And it cost literally 1/6 of what we paid at a "fancy" cat place down the road. I highly recommend Little Friends... all around an amazing place.

What a wonderful place LFOF is! Dr. Burke and her staff are fantastic! We have been taking our 2 little Bichon boys there since they were babies. We got my mom to take her old fella there and she is so beyond pleased with his care! She almost cries when she speaks about Dr. Burke and the staff and how wonderful they are and have been to her and her dog. Mom is 77 and they even cut the dogs pills up for her! We recomend LFOF to everyone we know!

Dr. Burke and her staff have treated my cat for 5 years until it was time to put him to sleep. They were very caring about both of us during our final moments together. They care about your pet just as much as you do.

Volunteering as we do in animal rescue, we've been to a number of local vets, but Dr Burke and her staff rate #1 with us! We take our personal pets as well as our foster dogs and cats to LFOF, and have had an amazing experience each and every time. Everyone from their desk staff, to their vet techs, to Dr. Burke herself, make the experience as stress-free as possible.

Dr. Burke and her entire staff are wonderful. I have three cats and a dog and she has been patient, kind and helpful with them all. When I have a problem with any of them Dr. Burke will call me back to assess the problem and give me a recommendation, now that's a level of service I never expected from a vet! Can't recommend Little Friends enough, they are the best.

LFOF is GREAT! I've never dreamed of a more caring, cleaner and easy on the pocket veterinarian's office, ever! I live in Ferndale and it's very convenient for me to get there, but I would travel miles with my pets to continue seeing Dr. Burke! She's wonderful, caring, very knowledgeable and so understanding. I cannot say enough good things about this vet, their a blessing and I think we're all very lucky to have them looking over our pets healthcare.

This is a LOVELY facility! It decidedly does not look or smell like a vet's office. It is 1000% better than the Humane society's offices in Detroit. The staff was pleasant, the doctor was great! I was very worried that Loki would go nuts being in the vet's, but Dr. Burke was very kind and patient with him. No bites or scratches! I would recommend this vet to ANYONE.

I used to go to VCA in Royal Oak and they were a rip off with a mediocre smelly facility and their doctors didnt speak english very well. I felt like I was taken advantage of on several expensive tests for my dog. Little friends of Ferndale has a nice staff, is very clean, and affordable at the same time. Highly recommend!

Our boxer boy, Dieter, is a special case with behavioral problems and immune system issues. He's a high anxiety dog, and Dr. Burke was our third try at finding the right vet for him. He would get so nervous at the other vets, he would try to bite, and had to be muzzled. Right away, I knew Dr. Burke was different. She didn't make him get on the table and instead got on the floor herself to examine him. He LOVES her, and has given her and the staff at LFOF no trouble with shots, blood draws and other exams, no muzzle required. They are very accommodating and understanding when it comes to his issues, and it is a great relief to us that we found LFOF! Dr. Burke also really cares about Dieter and keeps his issues and well-being in mind whenever recommending treatment -- she is the best vet we've ever been to, and we are grateful for the kind, gentle and expert care we receive from everyone at LFOF!

I took my cats to Little Friends last weekend and I was amazed by not only the people but the office too! You walk in and it is VERY well decorated and clean!! You go in the rooms....same....then the doctor comes in and she was amazing. My cats warmed up to her right away and she was so good with them. I don't think I have ever felt so comfortable in a vets office in my life and I have to believe the cats felt that way too!!

I had taken my pets to a local vet for 16 years. When my beloved Edith developed Cushing's Disease, the vet I was seeing then became abrupt and irate when I asked simple questions about how to best care for her and about her test results. I was stunned and hurt. Dr. Burke was recommended by a neighbor. Dr. Burke is knowledgeable about Cushings. She was caring and patient with me from the get go. My Edith has since died. She was 13. Dr. Burke and staff actually cried with me when Edith was put down. It was devastating. I loved Edith more than anything in the world. I can't tell you how much it meant to me to have a vet who cared and was warm toward me. I highly recommend Dr.Burke and staff. When my cat was declawed and developed an infection, Dr. Burke took wonderful care of her without charging me extra monies to bring her back in. This is just phenomenal and was truly appreciated.

Outstanding vet! We have tried many vets over the past 20+ years and this is truly the best with the entire staff & Dr.Burke. We had to let our beloved Shelby go in February and Dr.Burke and her staff were so wonderful and compasionate. I knew the moment we walked in that office my Shelby was so relaxed and very comfortable with Dr.Burke I wish I would have found her many years ago. She was absolutely wonderful taking care of my girl in her final months and I feel Shelby knew she was in good hands too. She just smoothered her with kisses, she never did that with any Doctor before. Dr. Burke continues to take care of my 4 other fur babies with the same amount of love and care I sure hope she plans to stay in Ferndale for many years to come being our home town too, we welcome her & her staff!

We recently had to let our beloved cat Akasha go, and thought we'd change to Little Friends of Ferndale for this as we hadn't been that happy with our last vet. My husband and I agree that it was the best place we could have gone to - the whole experience was made a little less painful by the staff and Dr. Burke as they were extremely professional and very sensitive to our emotional needs,making sure we were comfortable with our decision and assuring us that the process would be humane and painless. I would highly recommend to everyone I know. From the moment I walked in I knew we had decided on the right place to say farewell to our pet.
