I've been going there for at least 25 years, first with a dog and then cats. The prices keep going up and even though they will start an accout, they charge a lot of interest per month. Dr. Richter is the only one I trust. He's an excellent surgeon. When he retires, I'll find another vet. I've been looking around since he's only there three days a week. I get my diabetic cat's suringes from 1-800-PetMeds and the insulin from the vet down the street. It's just too expensive at SOVG.

GREEDY AND UNETHICAL Do NOT take your pet to SOVG. I have been a customer for yrs, but, I have watched their pet care decline over the last couple of years. Personalized pet care used to be their first priority. Now it's pocketing your money. I am prepared to spend as much money as necessary for the care of my pet. (And they are one of the most expensive, if not the most expensive vets in the area.) I just spent $3000.00 on tests and care. BUT I later learned there was a four hundred dollar test that would have answered our questions. The vet had no explanation for their behavior. Also, they shaved half of my cat's fur off and conducted a procedure that I did NOT approve or have knowledge of!!! Imagine my surprise, shock and horror when I learned my cat had been shaved, restrained, and worked on without my knowledge. AND, then they demanded I pay for this and would not give me my cat until I did so. Do not, at any cost, take your animal here. It simply isn't worth the risk.

I stopped taking my dog there after I was charged for tests that were not even done and given Meds for a 10lb dog our dog weights 75lbs. when I mentioned that a stool sample was never brought in to do the test they said they had a magic wond and no matter what I Said they continued sending me inflated Bills each one even more inflated then the last.
