Click to report rating    12/5/19   5     5     5     5   This is the best Vet Clinic I have ever been to and I have owned pets now for 40 years. The staff is amazing and what I love is that I know by taking my pets here that they are getting the best possible care. That is very important to me. Marg Wood is amazing and so are the rest of the staff. I am so glad that I found this vet clinic RID: 68785
Click to report rating    5/11/19   5     5     4     4   Had an emergency with one of my dogs, staff were prompt and very polite and had everything under control in minutes! Not a bad price for services rendered! Dr. Wood was very knowledgeable and very insightful, had to wait a bit to pick up my girl but the clinic was busy! Receptionist was very kind! Would recommend this clinic! RID: 68006
Click to report rating    7/4/18   5     5     5     5   Dr. Waterman is incredible. To understand how big of an impact he has had, you'd have to understand where we've been. Beginning in January 2018 - my west highland terrier, Sophie, developed blistering rashes on her lower lips, chin, shoulders, back, bum and tummy. For 5 months, my dog was followed by a Vet in Edmonton (not Dr. Waterman) who assured me it was a food allergy, and basically just something we'd have to work out. We changed her diet - she was put on a limited ingredient dog food - treats were dehydrated meat only - everything else was removed. The rash began to worsen and spread. Every two weeks, we'd return to get more antibiotics, and were told the same story 'it's an allergy'. Frustrated, and tired of spending hundreds of dollars seemingly getting no where, I searched online and found Parkland Vet Clinic. That's when we met Dr. Waterman. Great bedside manner, and fantastic with animals. Upon reviewing Sophie's scabs - he said "this is NOT an allergy!" He suspected Staph I RID: 66423
Click to report rating    4/12/17   5     5     5     5   I came into this clinic without an appointment and there were people waiting, but I was concerned about my dog's breathing. They took him to the back right away, but let me come along and hold him while they started oxygen. He settled down and I waited a short time to see Dr Wood. After a good exam, she called in the other Dr Wood and they came up with a plan that saved my baby's life. I expected a large bill after X-rays, bloodwork and oxygen therapy...I was pleasantly surprised at their reasonable rates and caring they gave both my dog and me. RID: 63340
Click to report rating    8/2/16   5     5     5     5   I have been going to this clinic for years. I have always had the best care of my pets. Dr. Marg Wood saved my Roxys life when she was poisoned. Dr Marg wood met me at the clinic after hours to care for her. I cannot thank Dr Marg wood enough for coming to my house with Fiona to stop my Candys suffering. Plus I cannot forget how Dr Dani Wood met me at the clinic early one morning when Bella some how punchured her throat and hit her arterie. If it wasn't for her rushing to the clinic. We would have lost her. I cannot say enough great things about this clinic. The staff is great. The Drs are the best. You couldn't find a more caring Clinic for your pets. RID: 61259
Click to report rating    8/7/14   4     5     5     3   We were clients of this clinic back when Dr.Wood was in Spruce Grove. We used to absolutely love her. Sadly, we moved our animals to another clinic as we felt Dr. Wood was simply not interested in caring for our pets. She was terse and abrupt and did not give us the necessary information. She seemed to lose interest in our pets. We are now with someone who lets us know our pets are important to her. RID: 52926
5/12/14   5     5     5     5   I'm SHOCKED by the ratings on here. I have a very accident prone dog - the clinic now knows us by name. The first time he broke his radius and ulna I had just been laid off so they did everything they could to keep the cost down. Dr.Wood performed 2 surgeries; hospitalization, post-op pain medication, frequent visits, screw tightening, bandage and cast changes were all provided at no additional charge. 1 yr later he was attacked, the emergency vet quoted $3000 for drains and predicted he would no have use of his back legs if he made it. I called Dr.Wood's emergency cell at 2am and she came in early to admit him at 6am once emerg released him. With hospitalization, close attention and regular wound irrigation for 3 days we avoided surgery altogether and for a fraction of the 3k emerg quote. He regained full function of his back legs. I will never take my fur family anywhere else as I've never had a vet or staff that genuinely cares so much. I recommend them to everyone. We love Dr.Wood! RID: 51532
12/13/13   1     2     3     2   Not impressed with this vet at all -absolutely no care for the animals. Took my cat in due to vomiting - she tugged on his skin roughly, said he's dehydrated, and he's staying here. Then whisked him off. Did not give me updates when they said they would, did not return my phone calls, and were extremely upset when I showed up unannounced to check on him/see him - I really disrupted their day apparently by showing up at 2pm to see MY pet. I never did speak to the vet again about his progress, all information was given to me by her assisstants - guess once she has your pet and the money is coming, she has no more use for you. If you want a vet that cares about animals, will maybe even (god forbid) pet the animal, then this IS NOT the vet for you. Dr Wood truly does not care. Have since moved to Best Friends and the girls there are wonderful and sweet and I really appreciate how Dr Barry attends to my cat - she is very caring. RID: 48754
11/21/11   4     4     5     5   I have always had good service here. Dr. Wood has saved me money by not charging for exam since we could not get my cat out of the carrier! :) Several times when my cat got sick they managed to fit me in on short notice. They are usually either on time or early for my appointments. They sent consolation cards after I had my dog and cat cremated. They are sometimes overbooked since we don't have enough vets in the area (In my opinion) but Dr. Wood explains what she is doing and what she recommends. RID: 29294
3/22/11   2     3     3     1   Dr. Wood in the comments seen here I completely agree with, they negative ones I mean. The other staff is friendly. I was rushed though, and it was costly. over all 'meh' service from what I'm used to. Dr. Wood was really hard on her staff and didn't seem to treat them well, it was unappealing. RID: 23764
