I have always such positive experiences with all the staff at this clinic. Let me start by saying I have a lot of pets. So much so that there was a period where I was in almost weekly with one animal or another. In addition to my own, I often take in strays or clients pets as well. So I see the staff a lot! My first experience with Charleswood was with my beloved cat Chaos. He had been acting strange and was quickly diagnosed with Diabetes. They taught me all I needed to know about caring for him and even helped him into remission. After 2 years he ended up with complications. My heart was broken. He was “my” first pet and I was lost with the thought of saying goodbye. This is where Dr. Megan Leclair stepped in. I’ll never forget her and Elyse coming to my home that day and helping him cross the bridge. They exhibited such compassion and empathy for my family. Megan hugged me as if she was trying to take the pain away. And thinking back, it did help. Thanks for being the best vet ever

Too bad Dr. Spice retired. He truly cared about animals. Dr. Spice recommended we not have our dog have dental surgery but treat with antibiotics chronically due to the dogs age. Have had nothing but flack from other vets since he retired saying not an issue. Have to fight to get the antibiotics which were part of regime dog has been on for 2.5 years and yesterday the vet refused (not morally right????) Dog gets very sick immediately within 1 day of not having the medication. Guess it is morally alright for the dog to die! off to another clinic after 25 years of going there.

We have always had excellent service from them over the years. The facility is easy to get to and always clean. Staff and doctors are always genuinely concerned about the welfare of our pets. I would recommend them 100% and have done so to friends and family.

I took my dog for dental and she had bloodwork done. It turned out that she needed more blood work that had to be sent to a lab in Toronto which cost 150.00. That result was inconclusive and my little "girl" had lumps on her body as well. It turned out the vet said that what my dog had was " beyond their scope". Thos certainly didn't instill any confidence whatsoever in the knowledge pool of that clinic. Needless to say-I took my dog elsewhere.

Great facility, wonderful staff. Can always get an appointment last minute. All around a great veterinary clinic!!

I have a difficult feline, they took her in on short notice. They handled her in such a professional manor, and didn't even blink when she went into a cat-tantrum. It was an all around great experience. We will be bringing back our other animals. Thank you.

I've been bringing my dog here since he was a puppy (Shots, neutered, xrayed, etc). They've always been very caring, given solid advice and helped me in any way they could. A+++

Never met a veterinarian we trusted more than Dr. Rob Spice. If another vet tells you that your dog needs surgery on the knee, get a second opinion from Dr. Spice - saved my dog from having unnecessary knee surgeries. He is an excellent diagnostician as well as surgeon. We referred a neighbour's dog to him, and again he advised against surgery. All of the staff here are genuinely caring and you will get honest, caring help here for your animal.

I just wanna say thank you from the bottom of my heart i Took my boy Blue there when he wasn't being himself. I called them and they were very concerned about my cat and took him in immediately. They were very excellent I was taken into the exam room and the Doctor was in there immediately. We saw Dr. Whelen and she diagnosed my cat right away we were in and out in about 20 minutes. I would absolutely return there again. Also the prices were very reasonable in my opinion no pushing any extras just care for my little boy. Again thank you dearly I don't know what I would have done without the excellent care we received.

I had the unfortunate task of rushing my cat to the vet as he developed Saddel Thrombus (which I did not know at the time). It was traumatizing to watch your cat suddenly fall ill like that and descend rapidly. The Doctor that assited me (I unfortunately did not get her name due to the condition of my visit)was extremly caring,and handled the situation quickly, yet gently. I am very greatful and would like to say thank you!

I had my kitten neutered and I was very impressed. I was called right after the surgery had been completed and was told that my kitten was in very good health and would be just fine. He is now 2 1/2 yrs old and in perfect condition.

Im sorry to say this, but I will never return to this vet office. When we took our beloved dog to be put down and cremated we were assured we could pick up her collar and leash the following week when we picked up her ashes. When we returned we came back to no leash or collar. They had no explanation where it had gone and its still not found. This leash and collar was bought by my daughter who was extremely close to our dog and saved for a month when she was 8 just to pay for the leash and collar herself. And the staff at Charleswood Vet does not seem to care and made us call the cremation company. This is a disregard to a family who is morning the lost of a member, and my daughter is still crying every night for the past week and simply wanted the one thing her and her best friend shared for the last time.

Dr Spice is great with our 2 dogs and one of our dogs had surgery on its leg which turned out great. Dr Spice is very calm and relaxing which is perfect for your pet. Dr Spice is very caring and knowledgeable. I have dealt with other veterinarians here and they were good as well. I highly recommend this clinic.

Phoned and described a cat with FIP though I did not know it at the time. Did not call back or mention that the cat should be seen. I phoned another vet and they were concerned by the same description given to the Charleswood bozos. The cat was diagnosed with FIP! Go here only if you hate your pet and want it to suffer.

I have been going to this vet, for close to 20 years, with all 5 of my dogs. They have been outstanding. I don't really care which vet I have used, they are all dedicated and caring and open to working with me. I am very happy with all the services, from puppy shots to the final moments, that I have Charleswood deliver for me and my dogs.

I am a new puppy owner and the staff at the Charleswood vet clinic have been wonderful. I have phoned with a few questions and they are always glad to answer. On our visits there the staff is always kind, caring and helpful. I would recommend this vet to anyone who loves their pets!

I started going to charleswood several years ago to see Dr.Spice however now I usually find myself seeing Dr. Shannon Stuart and I cannot say enough how absolutely wonderful she is. She is truly in this for the animals. I see Dr.Stuart for routine exams as well as in emergencies. She has performed emergency surgery on 2 of my dogs and has done a wonderul job on them as well as having staff keep me informed throughout the surgery!The dogs love going to see her! One of them actually tries to pull me into the clinic! The nicest thing is being able to go to one clinic and actually like all the vets that work at the one location, that I find is a rarity these days!
