They sent my dog home with me after his surgery and told me my dog would recover and be ok. I woke up next to my dog’s lifeless body. He died in his sleep.

I was terrified about by papillon Toby being put under anesthesia. I had a zillion questions about the safety of the procedure - they do everything by the book and better. Dr. McKague & staff never made me feel like an inconvenience or crazy for being so scared and emotional. I did a chest Xray, EKG, and bloodwork before he was put under to give me some peace of mind and make sure he was safe to be put under and everything was healthy - yay! Between all the tests they did I got to spend time with Toby in the exam room, even when they gave him his pre-anesthesia meds. I held him until he fell asleep and then after all the tests came back normal he went in for his procedure. I called twice throughout the procedure to check on him, they told me he was doing really well and afterwards they even sent me a photo of him in recovery. I thought with all the tests they did that it would be WAY over $1000 but it was a few hundred below that which is also amazing. I highly recommend this vet <3

Point Blank... Dr. Bargen saved my cat's life after another Vet refused proper treatment. They went the extra mile to work with us and come up with a treatment plan that has worked for a year. She is happy, healthy (as she can be with kidney disease and anemia) has gained substantial weight and is doing better than anyone could have ever expected. We don't know how long we'll have with her but thanks to them she is still with us. We couldn't be more grateful or happier with the service we have received. AMAZING clinic and team. I recommend them to everyone.

Staff and Drs are AMAZING!!! Everyone treats my pets like family and I always feel comfortable and welcome. Price are very negotiable compared to what I pay at the city - it's worth the trip to Steinbach !!!

I was so happy with the service provided by Dr. McKague and the rest of the staff. They repaired Gilligan's broken femur and he is recovering nicely at home. The service was exceptional!

I have had an amazing experience at PetVet! I've taken my sick dog there when she contracted parvo, my other dog when he got a little to close to a porcupine, and other miscellaneous animal checks ( vaccinations, dentistry, ect ) The staff has always been phenomenal and they do everything they can for my animals. They've given leeway in financial stuff just on my word and never made me or my pets feel any hostilities. My animals love the people there and that's what makes my #1 choice petvet!

We were very happy to discover Pet Vet. Dr LeeAnne Bargan is truly professional, and highly knowledgeable in her field. She always takes the time to explain to us what is going on with our dog. Taking our dog to this facility is always comforting to know she is getting the very best of care.

I have been going to PetVet for ever and have brought each and every pet I have ever had to them, which includes 1 dog,numerous cats and 4 bunnies to which they all got great care! I wish my family doctor took as good of care of myself and family as these vets do! Once you take your animal to PetVet, you'll never go anywhere else. My pets are always treated like family. The best place to take your animals if you want accurate, no nonsense care. I think it is about 12 years I have used Pet Vet. As a breeder I trust the staff and consider them as family...it's worth the trip to Steinbach

I have a fairly large kennel with more than one breed of dog. During the years my dogs have had more than their share of illnesses and diseases. I have taken dogs home that I thought were not "going to make it", and have made complete recoveries. My experiences with the staff and veterinarians has been more than satisfactory. I recommend them to all of my puppy buyers and many of them drive quite extensive distances to use this clinic as well. The only feedback that I get is what a great experience that they have on arrival right through to discharge. All of the veterinarians on staff will take the time to listen to my idiosyncrasies and we arrive at a mutual agreement that pleases me. In the past many vets only have paid lip service to my ideas and concerns. At Pet Vet my dogs are treated with the utmost care and concern. In all the years and visits, I can honestly say that while not the visits are pleasant due to the reason of the visit, I have never felt rushed or undervalued.

I completely trust the veterinarians and staff at Petvet with my animals. I know that they have my pets' health and well-being as their primary concerns. My animals are the most important souls in my life: I am confident my vet clinic is highly aware of how important they are to me. I respect their knowledge and expertise.

I can only say good things about this clinic. The staff is compassionate, knowledgeable and readily available when I need them. The service is more efficient than anything I could expect from my own health care providers. My pets are extremely important to me and I couldn't ask for better quality of care. e.... I have total trust in them, and that's impossible to put a monetary value on.

After I took my cat who was not eating to them, they didn't even look in her mouth, just poked her a little and gave her an expensive shot. She still wasn't eating after a few days so I called to make another appointment. The nurse wanted me to explain her symptoms and then told me they would have to put her down. Let me reiterate: THEY SAID I WOULD HAVE TO BRING HER IN TO HAVE HER PUT DOWN. You do NOT tell a pet owner that over the phone. I promptly went to another vet, which knew what her problem was right away (ulcers in her mouth), gave her a waaaaayyy cheaper shot and she was better within a day. Don't take your cats to this vet, they have no idea what they're doing.

At least 3 times that I've brought my old cat to this vet they've given her expensive shots and said she would probably live for only a month. She's 13 now and still one of the healthiest cats I've seen. As well, I brought both of my cats there once, they also said the same thing, said it was some terrible disease, and also, made fun of my cat's weight and my ability to take care of them. Took them to another vet where they were treated fairly, got a cheap shot, and were both fine within the week. I'm not saying I've never had a good experience here, but after that, I will say that I'm never going back.

Dr. Bargen is the best vet I've ever taken a pet to. From a young Lab to euthanizing time at 15 years of age. She has a compassion and is highly skilled. I would recommend her to anyone hands down. All the staff at PetVet in Steinbach are fantastic.

These are people who truly care about animals. Top notch service at a very reasonable price. Worth the 45 minute drive from Winnipeg. I phoned them for an appointment and got one the very same day. I arrived 30 minutes early and they got me in right away. At no point did I feel rushed. The vet I dealt with was like a breath of fresh air. She answered all my questions and she was absolutely terrific with my pets. I trusted her instantly and for me that's rare. I recommend Pet Vet to everyone I talk to.

Dr. LeeAnn Bargen is an ANGEL! Knowledgable about cats and dogs- did three dentals on my senior cats, and two surgeries on my dogs- hips and knees - truly loves and cares for your animals!!!!

Very helpful to me with my cats and my dog and also a couple abandoned kittens. They are all very friendly. Very clean, well taken care of place. I would recommend this vet for sure!

Switched over to using this vet a few years ago and they have always been very friendly, great with the animals,knowledgable and open to discussions on treatments. Great with surgeries, repro, x-rays etc, and costs are very reasonable
