Unfortunately this clinic has taken a turn where it is next to impossible to contact for making an appointment. After trying for days at random times only to get a busy signal I finally get through and am immediately put on hold until after several minutes I gave up. This used to be the best clinic in South western Ontario in my opinion. Used to be . I don't know what has happened but my furry little buddies will NOT be returning. I have found a vet that actually have office contact with and am moving my business. I will miss thee way This clinic was.

Dr Staples is a very knowledgeable veterinary and does a great job. I've taken all of my animals there for the past 20 years. It is a very busy clinic and he is very efficient. I don't know where he finds the time to do so much.

Dr. Staples has NEVER lost his licence. When people do not follow his advise their animals may run into problems (duh) and first thing they do is run to emerg and report him the college for their negligence. Vets have a self regulating body which means they are instantly guilty until proven innocent $$. Same as Nursing. This means it is cheaper to plead guilty WHEN YOU ARE NOT. If you want "hand holding" and flowers and to subject your animal to needless procedures, or be constantly referred to specialists $ go elsewhere. If you want excellence, quality of care for your animal, then go to Dr. Staples with over 45 years of experience who is NOT in the business to milk people of unnecessary care. This idealism is not popular with his competition which is why he is being bad mouthed here⦠There are so few competent Vets, most just refer you to the college for stuff they should know, (more than just vaccines and heart worm testing) ! I don't know what we will do when Dr. Staples retires.

Recently had my cat taken to have a urinary catheter put in for a 3 day hospital stay. During that time I never received any updates and when I called the vet was never available to speak with. When I picked up my cat there was no one available to explain how the procedures went or what symptoms to be wary of post procedure. I still remain unaware of what tests may have been conducted if any, or what drugs may have been used. After bringing him home and trying to call the vet to find out more information I was given nothing but attitude and no answers to my questions... After paying for the procedure the only response if I had any concerns was to contact the emergency clinic if problems persists... As a result of the lack of communication my cat never made it and it was his second day home. Once you've made the commitment to pay this hospital makes no commitment to the long term health of your pet. Pay the extra money and have someone that takes the time to care for your pet.

I have been taking my dogs to Dr Staples since 1995. He is concerned only with the health of the animals.. He is a great vet, the staff are great.. The place is always clean.. I wouldn't trust my dogs to anyone but Dr Staples and his staff.. I drive more than an hour to take my dogs to him. He had done earcropping / spay / neuters, and many other procedures for us.. Never a problem.. And he keeps his prices where they are affordable.. He is an awesome vet !

I have been satisfied with service I have received for many of my dogs for spay/neuter and recently for check ups and vaccinations for 2 of my dogs. The price is amazing and the attending vet spent over 30 minutes with me and my collie and jack Russell.

Our family has had two huskies and two german sheppards and all of them have gone to staples without issue. Yes it is very busy, although he is straight up, tells you how it is and is honest. Gives you what you need and can afford. He isn't going to spend all day chatting up a storm with you, that's why you don't spend 500 dollars for a 200 dollar procedure. If you have 30 mins to chat me up, you obviously aren't busy and if you aren't busy, why is that. I am a person that respects a straight up honest person who doesn't try to over sell you. Our dog is on steroids and they aren't good for her, but she needs them, she is on the lowest dose that works and thats all we can do, what good is blood work every 6 months going to do but stress her out and spend our money.

The best there is. Be prepared to wait past your appt time because of this. All the breeders go to him because he knows his stuff. Rates are far less than other clinics.

This clinic is an excellent demonstration that you get what you pay for. Yes, the prices are very low, but I had to spend twice what it cost to have my cat spayed with him to have his mess fixed by another veterinarian... So it would have been chaper for me (and WAY less stress for poor Molly!) to have it done right the first time. Also, I did some research and it looks like he has had his lisence suspended twice by the ontario veterinary association. Here's proof: http://www.cvo.org/imis15/CVO/Public_... He's not even allowed to practice right now!

I have been taking my dogs to Dr. Staples for the last 10 or so years and have had excellent service. They never recommend additional treatments if not required and offer great advice. Dr. Staples is very caring and compassionate and I will continue to take my animals there. The prices are also very reasonable - Thank you for your services

dr staples is inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. he cuts corners! he has the best intentions and is a nice guy, but only when i started looking around and talking to other veterinary professionals did i realize what i had been skipping for my dog that i didnt know existed! my dog is on a steroid because he has allergies...dr staples never told me they might have an effect on his organs and has never even asked me to do bloodwork! I found out doing bloodwork is important when keeping him on a steroid long-term!! the harm i couldve been doing to my dog breaks my heart. not to mention he has never once mentioned my dogs teeth which are HORRIBLE - even I know he needs some work there. i switched once i realized what kind of value i could get elsewhere. paying a little extra is worth it

If there was a rating scale of 10 I could check it off! Dr Staples was amazing, kind, and considerate. The prices were amazing I would have paid a fortune/had paid a fortune at other vets and Staples was a fraction of the cost. He believes that everyone should be able to afford to have a pet. Even his evaluation of my dog was by someone who clearly cared about animals. He did a real physical assessment not giving me a bologna response about how I needed to have bloodwork/unnecessary medication. I think it gives you a real hint when the waiting room is as busy as it is too - it means that he has a ton of satisfied customers who continue to return! My girl was spayed here and she was her bag of beans self when I picked her up - definitely not a dog after surgery, she healed extremely well and other than sleeping a bit more the first day she was her regular self! Without a doubt Staples is one of the best vets I've ever been to!

Had four barn cats neutered/spayed (3 females, 1 male) there for about half the price of getting one done elsewhere with no complaints/problems. Yes, there were many animals in the waiting room at one time, but isn't that the same anywhere - vets, doctor's offices, emergency departments? When my animals were examined, we were in a room by ourselves, not a cubicle. There was no lack of care that I could see. As for the person who said Dr. Staples had lost his license numerous times, you are downright lying (slanderous). I could not understand why the prices were so low compared to other facilities and contacted the governing body of veterinarians as I thought maybe malpractice suits/no clients could be the reason. They sent me back a report that stated he has not had any disciplinary action against him of any kind. You could be sued over statements like that if your identity was known.

Had my dog here once, and she will never go back. We got put into a giant waiting room with at least a dozen other dogs (very sanitary if one is sick!). After that, we were put into a big open room with little medical stations, and got to witness the person next to us being informed that their cat was beyond repair. The prices were very cheap, but cheap means nothing when it comes to the care of my dog.

Dr. Staple's is an excellent surgeon. I took my puppy there to get a spay done and she was up and running around an hour after with only a couple stitches. totally different experience than other higher priced Vets. Priced affordible too. As a nurse I do know that most often when people complain about medical service it is because THEY don't follow the Dr's directions and then wonder recovery doesn't go smoothly !

Staples is nothing more than an assembly line. Too many animals having surgery too close together. When one animal stitched he moves down to the next table that has a animal ready. Not enough techs to recover animals waking up if emergency comes up other animals left on their own. But I guess you get what you pay for, and that's why my dogs stitches let go and was told from another vet because the muscle layer was sewn up so poorly. Will never go back, would pay the extra $ to have surgery done properly.

STAPLES IS A GREAT, EXCELLENT VETERINARY PLACE TO GO. THEY TOOK GREAT CARE OF MY CAT "LANA ROSE",OTHERS SAID THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH HER EARS, BUT, THE VET FOUND EAR MITES INSIDE. THE MEDICATION WORKED GOOD. I'M TAKING MY DOG TO STAPLES NEXT, AND OUR NEW ADDITION ALSO-PUP. THEY HAVE THE BEST STAFF, COURTESY, AFFECTIONATE, WARMING, LOVING, COURAGEOUS, OUT-STANDING WORK WELL DONE. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS VETERINARY FACILITY TO ANYONE. THE VET ALWAYS HAS A NICE MELLOW VOICE THAT SOOTHES THE ANIMALS, SO THEY ARE NOT AFRAID, AS ALL ANIMALS ARE WHEN THEY SENSE GOING TO IT. HE TALKS TO THE ANIMALS, A DOCTOR SUESS SPECIALIST. HE IS THE GREAATEST BY FAR!!!HE IS MY #1 VET BY FAR, NO ONE ELSE WITH TOP HIM. BONNIE SMITH-BLATCHFORD
