I chose this vet originally because of the compassion showed by Dr. Dana DePerno at the home of a friend whose cat she put down. I've been reluctant to speak ill of the clinic, since I admire those who undertake the care of animals for a living. However, this clinic treated my beloved golden retriever mix for a painful, aggravating skin condition for a full year, renewing prescriptions for both topical (steroidal) and internal medications without showing any concern, whatever, that the treatments were not working. I had to research his condition myself online, call other Westside vets, and make my own appointment at the excellent Animal Dermatology Clinic, to get my dog well. This showed intolerable professional laziness and lack of attentiveness to my dog's medical chart and overall health and well-being. Malibu Coast NEVER took a skin culture--incompetent. The prescription they gave me was for the WRONG staph infection, as a result. Animal Dermatology cured him immediately.
