Click to report rating    2/28/18   5     5     5     4   Great like any other vets in my area. Price seems expensive but that's just how it is in every vet clinics. He did well on taking care of Leo (my dog) and he is now doing well! Thank you so much Dr. Dabri :) RID: 65664
Click to report rating    5/19/17   5     5     4     4   It was christmas holiday and my dog ate chocolate I called this clinic and doctor picked up the phone and ask to come over and help me to take care of my loved one.It took him 30 minuts to show up at the clinic. Did make my dog pook and showed me how many chocolate my dog ate. I do not know about bad reviews but he was awesome doctor help us when we need him desperatly as other clinic do not care and left us helpless. RID: 63685
Click to report rating    2/15/17   1     1     1     1   Dr. Dabre does not know what hes doing. The BCVMA needs to suspend his license. I am shocked people are still continuing to pay for his services. Dont go here unless you want to get ripped off and your puppy treated horribly RID: 62691

12/2/15   1     2     3     1   Dr Dabri as I've experienced personally, is not a very knowledgable dr nor is he very skilled. He does not train his staff properly or at all and seems not to be very dedicated to becoming better at his job. I don't agree with him ethically as he does ear cropping for doberman puppies. He was even banned from giving K9s any abdominal surgery by the College of Veterinarians of BC until further continuing education is completed. No, having lawsuits are not "normal" for every vet because they have certain guidelines to follow. Each procedure would have been explained thoroughly and had the risks explained and waivers would have been signed. If he had followed the guidelines and had competent skills as a veterinarian should have, he would not have received those lawsuits. I have experienced him dodging calls from unhappy clients/lawsuits. I would not recommend coming here as I had heard many horror stories from there and have not had very good experiences there myself as well. RID: 59138

6/26/14   1     5     3     1   Not sure what's wrong with this "vet" if he really is one. Stares blankly at you when you tell him something, his receptionist seemed to be sharper than him. She had to tell him what medication to prescribe. Nice clean clinic though I will give them that. RID: 52271
Click to report rating    4/1/14   5     5     5     5   This clinic has been great, the staff are very friendly and Dr. Dabri is very knowledgable. Took my dog here to get spayed, dropped the dog off in the am and picked her up in the pm. Staff outlined all medications/precautions to me well and when she ripped out some of the stitches the next morning I called and brought her in right away, the staff accommodated me greatly and Dr.Dabri fixed her up right away. He is a very good vet that will help no matter the time. I know she is in good hands when she goes here! RID: 50823
3/11/14   1     2     2     1   This place gives me the creeps now!! I took my staffy to get his nails clipped and out of the two nails my dog actually let them cut, both they made bleed! I was like, if I wanted them to bleed, I would have just done them at home and saved my $20! The same time my puppy needed her anal glands cleaned, she is 12lbs of pure sweetness, this monster shoved his finger in her but so fast and hard, she yelped so loud!! I was in tears, who does that! I am really upset because of the unnecessary pain he inflicted on my animals and I will never go there again!! RID: 50440
12/25/13   1     1     1     1   TERRIBLE TERRIBLE unprofessional "vet!" I don't even know how he stays in business. All the above reviews are very accurate. If you care for your pet DON'T bring them here. Dr Dabri has shown himself more interested in money than the people and and pets he works with. Came in for annual vaccinations, but he did other tests and tried to sell unnecessary medication. All this was tacked on to the bill. Didn't ask if he could do tests or if we wanted the medicine. Just put it all on bill. Its like taking your car for an oil change and having the mechanic do a bunch of unnecessary work on it without asking, and then charging you for it. Stay far far away from here. This doctor is a quack. Exploits people and their love for their pets for excessive amount of money. SHAME ON YOU DR. DABRI. RID: 48937
10/3/13   5     1     1     1   My dog was having trouble breathing. My regular vet was booked so I went to Dr. Dabri. He insinuated my dog was dying. He did xrays which for some reason he needed to send to an 'expert' in the states to read. He did tell me my dog had an enlarged heart, lungs full of fluid and an esophagus too narrow to drink water. I was beyond terrified. This was Aug. 23. After 5 hours and a bill of 700.00 he sent me home. I was not suspicious till I went to his office 2 days ago to get a letter stating my dog is in good health. He squeezed his stomach and looked at his eyes. Said he was anemic and needed to do blood tests. That is when I woke up. I said you charged me $700 3 weeks ago and did blood tests and now you want to test more? He left the room, came back and said he will write the letter. Charged me $60 for exam. My bill from Aug states he did a wellness exam. THIS MAN IS A CROOK AND PREYED ON MY FEAR THAT MY DOG WAS DYING. WHERE DO I GO TO REPORT HIM FOR BEING UNETHICAL RID: 47367
2/26/13   1     1     1     1   When Dr.Dabry found out I had pet insurance he offered to bill my insurance company direct... then he went to town... stacked up over $2000 in several months... gave my dog medicine he didnt need, including an alergy kit valued at over $300, which I never picked up... refused to return the medicine. When I went to a new vet he sent wrong info re blood tests etc. As far as I am concerned he & his staff are dishonest & incompentent. I could go on about various other discrepancies, but I just want anyone reading this to know... YOU SHOULD GO ELSEWHERE. One final thing... when he administer gas to my grandaughters pet rat, it took 40 minutes for her to die as the maks wss leaking. All the way around this was a very bad experience. RID: 40731
11/23/12   1     2     2     1   My sister & I got new pups around the same time. I went to Garden City Vet & she went to Dear. She bought a package deal for the spaying & shots for over $700. Then the other day when she went for a Lyme Disease vaccination (what? Lyme Disease in Richmond!), the vet found a lump on the pup's back. She thought he said it was around $200 to do the biopsy & blood works but when she picked her up a few hours later, she was charged over $800. The vet said the lump was caused by the previous vaccination (which is what I told her). I should also mention that she was told her free 6 mos insurance expired that day (her pup is 4 mos old). She had to phone & get it renewed for $45 month. They cover up to $1000 with a $100 deductible. Doesn't this all sound a little fishy...they saw a customer who loved her new pup & who was in shock & not thinking right. The vet took advantage of her. RID: 38658
Click to report rating    10/31/11   2     2     5     1   I took my dog to visit dabri for a lump removal in the tail and also treat of red dots in the skin. Together with other exams, it cost me about $1000. In this treatment, 3 things bothered me. 1)When I took my dog to get the stiches removed, they miss one. 2)Regarding the red dots, he said it was alergic with food. But we changed it back to its original diet. The red dots are still there. I suspect it is something else. 3)A staff called me a few weeks later stateed that I owed their money when we took my dog to remove the stiches. We paid verything at the treatment. the stiches removal was charged when the surgery was done. Since I am not a vet, don't really know what will cause the problem. only wish can get a more responsible vet and my dog will get well. RID: 28714
Click to report rating    10/27/11   5     4     5     4   I find Dr. Dabri to be very compassionate and fully explains everything to me. The staff are friendly and put you at ease. RID: 28645

Click to report rating    6/27/11   4     4     4     4   No problems encountered with care of our dog at all. Now a new vet Dr Dabri who seems very caring and knowledgable RID: 25857
Click to report rating    12/4/10   1     1     1     1   I made the mistake of taking my beloved cat of 12 yrs to this vet. He had an inoperable tumor. While holding him for the last time, a loud child ran through the rooms, including ours. The proccess was not explained to me. While I was in with him my husband paid $400. When I went back 2 days later to collect his ashes, I paid another $400. Of course, in our grief, we didn't realise until months later and neither of us were given a receipt. The payments, however, showed on our bank account and when I called them to ask about it was told I needed a receipt. The treatment he received: 1 night stay. IV & medicines. Xray.Cremation. In May of 2010, a year later, our cat of 13 yrs passed. We took her to Highpoint Vet and all of the procedures were explained fully. We were treated with respect and courtesy and paid less than $400 for: 1 night stay. IV & medicines.Cremation. I think DAH took advantage of our state of grief. I have not gone back since, never will. RID: 21239
Click to report rating    11/18/10   1     1     1     1   Avoid this place unless you have tons of money to throw away. Cost me $300 dollars for an initial consultation that included blood test, antibiotics, and to determine the problem with my Dog. He barely looked or examined him and said he needed surgery right away cost was going to be around $740. plus taxes . I wasn't happy with the service so I got a 2nd opinion . At another Clinic my Dog received a way better examination cost $30 and the so called surgery was not so urgent but I had it done right away cost $200 including taxes Total cost for Dear animal Hospital would have been over $1000. but total cost at another clinic was $234 . I called to ask for some of my money back and was refused and told I could go elsewhere. This guy is only in it for the money and preys on people who treat there pet like a family member. RID: 20947
