I have taken my dog to the Waugh Chapel Animal Hospital for 5 years. On May 20th, we were told that my dog had pneumonia, hypothyroid, may have cardiac disease, X-rays were taken, and 3 types of meds were prescribed. Another Dr. in the practice "speculated" that my dog did not have pneumonia or cardiac disease but had lymphoma. We were then told that my dog only had a short time to live and we should consider euthanizing him.
We were devastated, and after we agreed to a fine needle aspiration on the 31st we were told that a biopsy could not be done because the cytologist needed more cells. We spent almost $1800 within 4 visits. The charges were outrages, and I will not allow my family to be taken advantage of during a health crisis. Once I took my dog off the meds he is doing much better.
Beware of this hospital because things go down hill when your pet needs them most.

We had a critically ill pet here for several days and during that time we were never able to talk to an actual veterinarian, just technicians and receptionists. Some of the pricing is also from another universe.

Excellent medical care but horrible wait times. I waited more than an hour to be seen once. Then, the next visit, I called ahead just to make sure they were running on time. They told me they were on schedule. I got there 40 minutes later only to find out they were running an hour behind! I cancelled the appointment because my life is much too hectic for these kinds of waiting times. I really hate to give up this vet because he's exceptional (personal experience and heresay). If only their customer service was as good as the medical care....
