I have used Dr Powers multiple times for different animals over the last two years.Like most small business you could find something minor to complain about,if you want.But if you have a sick animal, you can't go wrong here. She has a nice touch and a reassuring demeanor for both me and the animals. I found here diagnostics and prescribed treatment to be spot on.

Dr. Jen is a brilliant, open-minded person who is the most talented health care professional I have ever met. She kept my dear dog going for 4 years of good life after having been given up for dead by the "experts" at UC Davis. The dog lived to be 18. I can't thank Dr. Jen enough. She's an incredible vet. You cannot do any better.

Even when we still lived in southern California we would come to Redding and have Jen check on the dogs. We have been her "patients" for many years now and would not trust any other vet with the dogs we love so well. She and her staff are just wonderful, caring and compassionate.

My dog was chewed up by a coyote,and I mean leg hanging off,eye hanging out, and back completely torn open. He walked out two days later witha few scars, wagging his tail at the sight of me. And best of all, it was a fourth less than any other vet clinic in CA! I owe my dogs life to dr powers, she is an extremely good vet and I highly reccomend her to anyone, anywhere. Thank you!!

I was new in town and our teacup chihauhau had a traumatic head injury I was devestated. I called them because my sister in law has her horse treated there and is completey happy with the care. They talked to me on the phone while I drove out there and were waiting at the front door for us. Remarkably our dog recovered 100% I was not charged anything atromical but very reasonable. She is now our neew vet. Small town vet with that personal touch. She rocks!

Dr Jen is truly a gifted and compassionate Veterinarian. The care she provided to my precious pet was so very gentle, caring and loving. My entire Family was interested in my opinion after the care my Pet and I received from Dr Jen. Not only is Dr Jen my new health provider, but that of my entire Family as well. If you truly love your four legged Family members, then provide them with the best health care available in this area. Dr Jen Powers provides that care!

Took my 10 yr old Great Pyrenees to Dr Jen because he was not walking on one of his back legs. She took X-Rays and told me he had arthritis. Gave him a shot and gave me meds for him and now he is walking. This is why Dr. Jen and her staff are number one in my book! Thank you for helping him to live another year.

I never got past the front door. I had spoken to Dr. Powers on Saturday by telephone about a problem with my dog. She said she knew what was wrong and quoted me the price for the corrective procedure. When I went to make the appointment on Monday, her office lady told me it would be nearly $100 dollars more. Like many of us today, money is tight and it took some doing to put together the cost of the procedure. When I was told the "real" price I was stunned and asked if they could work with me. They told me absolutely not. If I did not pay the amount, up front, in-full she would not treat my dog. No barter, no discount, no payments, no nothing! I don't think is what I would deem "Above and Beyond". I have never been treated so poorly in my life. Stay away from this one!

Jen is an awesome vet for our horses. She was recently out of town and we needed to see another vet for an emergency with our horse. The vet missed the real problem - Jen got back and got him fixed up. Highly recommend!

Jen is a great vet and wonderful human being. She recognizes the fact that animals possess sentience and emotions. She values their spirits as well as the bodies that house them. She correctly diagnosed conditions in three dogs, one of them my own (whom other vets had MIS-diagnosed as an untreatable condition, causing her to go without treatment for two crucial years before being correctly diagnosed by Jen), one belonging to my sister (again, a case where other vets did not zero in on the true problem and thus rendered ineffective treatment)and a third dog I was considering adopting from what turned out to be an irresponsible animal rescue group who lied about her condition, referencing "a little arthritis" when in truth the dog had severe and advanced hip dysplasia. Above And Beyond is the perfect name for Dr. Jen's veterinary practice. Is it any wonder she was voted best vet in the tri-counties area of northern CA? God Bless you, Jen! You rock! Jennifer Powers and Staff at Above and Beyond are just that, Above and Beyond. They truly care about your animals.... With her help my 7 yr old Aussie is jumping like a puppy again and was able to finish and achieve his CT-ATE (CPE agility trial). Very reasonable prices and very honest in her treatment. Her acupuncture works wonders on my agility dogs ! HONESTY is high, if your dog doesn't need treatment SHE WILL tell you. (Did that with 2 of mine), and is very honest in the treatment of the one with mild hip dysplacia. I cannot recommend her highly enough. (also bring my horses to her)....

I use Dr. Jen for acupunture on both my horses. The results are amazing. She is very fair on what she charges for services, and has the animals best interest at heart.

I love Dr. Powers! I drive over 3 hours to have her work on my horses when needed. She is a wonderful and extremely knowledgeable vet. I love her blend of the best modern care, mixed with a dose of alternative medicine where appropriate. Thanks for being there!

Great Vet!!! I use them for my 2 Horses and 3 Dogs. Everything from yearly shots to emergency calls. I would recommend to EVERYONE!
