Doctors were fast to take care of my animal in crisis. Prompt, professional, and accurate in diagnosis, and prognosis. I knew what to expect. Thank you.

Took my two pitbull puppies there for check ups, vaccinations and deworming. The staff was very friendly and helpful even after I told them I was planning to breed which most vets frown upon but they actually offered me helpful breeding info. So remember when reading reviews keep in mind that everyone has different experiences mine was a good one just my 2 cents.

My personal experience with Dr Kennedy & her staff goes back 35 years. Dr Fowler is sooo attentive and helps look for the right answer. They are open 24/7 and will give follow up any time of the day or night to help dustomer. Dr Isherwood ordered bery expensive send away tests for my dog whoich it turns out were not needed...only disappointment. I would not go aanywhere else.

May 11,2008 (Mother's Day) at Jefferson Animal Hosp.& Reg. Emer. Cen. I am a lab and yorkie breeder. I had sold a beautiful male yorkie to a couple from L-ville 5-10-08. He was playing and fine when he left my house. I sent food, vitamins, nutrical puppy, and specific directions. I get a call the next day saying the vet wanted to put him down. I rushed to L-ville (80 Miles Away) to see what was going on. The vet looked at me with a cold, judging, accusing stare. I felt like a criminal. Prince was cold, seizing, hooked up to IV's with oxygen. Vet & Lady decides to put him down. I held him while she did, NEVER AGAIN. I would fight like ----. The vet seemed to enjoy it. Then she wanted to cut him up. I refused and gave the lady's money back and paid the bill, over $700. I took Prince home to bury him. Next day my vet talked me into taking him to UK in Lex. for necropse. He thought there might be something wrong with my breeding stock. The results showed he died from low sugar.

Our experience here was horrific. We would speak to one staff member, only to find out that another staff member did not get that communication. Hand written notes by the staff were ignored or not found by the subsequent doctor, and no documentation existed for the next doctor to have any clue what the previous doctor did. The solution the hospital offered to find out what a previous hospital staff member had done was to call the previous doctor and speak to them when they woke up and returned the call. Adequate chart documentation and communication of the wishes of the pet owner simply do not exist here. These people need to pull it together for the well being of their patients who cannot speak for themselves.
