Click to report rating    5/5/14   5     4     4     4   The staff was great helping us with our animals needs. They put the animals first and really help to understand the tests and options. RID: 51417
Click to report rating    11/8/13   5     5     5     5   We've used this clinic several times over the past few years, including having two dogs euthanized. We have found the staff to be incredibly kind and knowledgeable and highly recommend it. RID: 48135
Click to report rating    1/6/13   5     5     5     5   When my 11 year old Chihuahua woke us up one early morning with labored breathing, we knew that the problem was serious and we needed immediate assistance. Our regular vet recommended Animal Emergency and Specialty Center. The receptionist showed professional concern and efficiency on the phone and arranged for us to come right in and get our beloved dog’s issues addressed. I am not easily swayed into security with vets, as I often feel they take advantage of people’s pocketbooks in stressful circumstances and though they present themselves as thorough, they can sometimes request or require unnecessary procedures or x-rays which result in added expenses. We made it clear to the Vet Tech that, unfortunately, money was and honest concern. They returned with news that was not very good but delivered the diagnosis and further needs and options in an empathetic and professional manner. We are very pleased with how our situation and our little guy were handled. RID: 39428
Click to report rating    9/4/12   5     5     5     5   No one wants to visit the "emergency" room for pets! But I have had to do this a few times over the last several years, most recently a couple of weeks ago. The care and concern shown by all the staff - from reception to doctors - has been excellent on every occasion. What I find particularly comforting and important is that the staff there today are many of the same who treated "Teddy" years ago. In today's age it is hard to see the same doctor, let alone the same vet. I have the utmost confidence in the care provided and am grateful that such a facility is available for we pet owners. I would recommend them without hesitation! RID: 36991
Click to report rating    8/7/12   5     5     4     4   I have used this clinic twice over the past several years and both times the level of care and professionalism was just outstanding. They have an excellent staff that cared for our dog with love and compassion. It is pricy but it is an emergency clinic so a higher price is expected. RID: 36317
Click to report rating    10/13/11   3     5     3     1   A+++ for the ER staff and vets. Fantastic care!! As for Dr Breshears, BEWARE. He did a very short exam and misdiagnosed my dog, insisting on knee surgery on both knees when the dog actually had an immune condition. Makes me wonder how many unnecessary surgeries he has performed. Always seek a second opinion fellow pet owners. Orthopedic surgery for pets is a multi million dollar business annually. Do your research before contributing to that fund :) RID: 28272
Click to report rating    5/18/10   1     1     1     1   We had the worst experience ever here-the techs were rude, the doctor snide and hateful, front desk was nasty and our bill was over 6K (you read that right, $6,000) after just a few days. Our reg vet has told us he (thankfully) will never send another pet there as a referral after our experience. Too late for our pet and our wallet, but please heed my warning and stay away! I agree with the previous reviewer that they are greedy, plus I will add that the level of care is not what is promised, but you will be charged like it was given anyway. How anyone so crooked could remain in business is beyond me. AVOID!! RID: 17989
Click to report rating    11/25/09   2     3     3     1   Dr Lee Breshears, the Orthopedic Surgeon recommended shoulder surgery for our dog who's shoulder was coming out of the socket after an injury. We got a second opinion from another orthopedic surgeon that this procedure had a high failure rate and casting for a long period was a better option. We also found that the price quoted was very high. We would never have know this if the greed of this clinic hadn't forced us to seek another doctor. The clinic wanted $3000 up front before they would help our dog. We contacted a renowned canine orthopedic clinic and a Dr Scot Swainson for the second opinion. In addition, Dr. Swenson's clinic agreed to work with us to pay the bill. I understand vet's are vulnerable to people who won't pay, but we offered half the money up front and the rest within a month. $3000 was impossible to come up with on a few days notice. Well, thank God for their greed, we would have paid too much for an unnecessary procedure if they had had compassion. RID: 15460
