Teresa treats her employees like trash, there is little to no training involved, and when little mistakes happen she loses her temper and instead of correcting the mistake, she doesnt even show us how its done correctly! She is unprofessional and answers personal phone calls all evening, and sits in the back watching netflix. She will block of an entire evening so no more appointments can be booked just so she can tend to her personal business. Super unprofessional

We have been going to Dr CHu for 2 years with our two dogs. She knows her stuff! As our one dog approached the end of her life she gave us sensible information and was compassionate at the end. We would have no hesitation recommending her practice.

Dr. Chu can connect with animals but is rude and dismissive to humans. Chooses to lecture and bully her way vs. providing patient and owner centered care that meets the individual needs at a level appropriate to their beliefs and finances. Says stuff like "So, you don't want medical advice about your pet?", when you question what other alternatives there may be instead of the costly regimen she suggests that "may not work". Makes you feel like a negligent pet owner for asking questions. Also they immunized my pet too soon by accident and within a year he developed allergies - she did not acknowledge there could be a connection nor apologize for the mistake, but did not forget to charge me for the unnecessary vaccines! If you agree with everything she suggests and pay for it, I am sure you will like her. I am not going back because I don't believe there is a one size fits all for each pet and owner. My advice to Dr. Chu, get to know people/animals and work together, WITH them!

The front end staff is rude and dismissive(especially the receptionist Chelsea).I had to euthanize my cat and I found her completely unempathetic and hostile. Dr. Chu on the other hand is always professional but needs to work on her people skills.

Teresa and her staff are wonderful and incredibly hard working. We've been with her since she started her clinic and my dogs have always reacted very positively to her and her staff - always calm. This wasn't the case with our previous vet so I'm very happy to have found this clinic. You can tell that she loves animals and expects owners to provide a high level of quality care. Any time we've had health concerns with our pups, Teresa has gone above and beyond to ensure the right diagnosis and treatments occur. Excellent follow up as well and always willing to take a call to discuss treatment and progress. As my one pup is now a senior this has become an important aspect of the care provided.

One of the worst vets I have ever delta with. My dog was attacked after hours and I was new in town. She was in my neighborhood so I called her. I explained that my dog was seriously injured with a bite to her neck. Her first question was if I could afford the after hours charge. She met me, put my dog on IV and then went home. She called in the morning to say that I had to take my dog to the University Hospital (she didn't refer me there the night before). When I picked up my dog her wound hadn't even been cleaned and bandaged. $800 bill. When I took my dog to the University Vet Hospital they were shocked that her wound hadn't been dealt with and that she hadn't been referred immediately. The University was fantastic, caring and honest. Even offered to waive surgery costs. My dog ended up not making it. On top of horrible care this Vet treated me like garbage. Horribly rude, and only concerned about cash. I wonder if my dog had of been referred 12 hrs earlier she might have made it.

I have been going to Teresa since she opened in order to support her as I had previously worked with her.It started out great but I now find her short, abrasive, condescending, and a bit of a bully. The last straw was I missed a booster appointment ( my fault ), they phoned me 1/2hr after appt time and said they would reschedule and tack on 10$ no show fee. I get it, time is money. If I was perpetually a no show or late, ok. Never. If they sent out email reminders or phone reminders they could make their clients feel valued at the same time as ensuring they show up for their appointment. But, for 10$, or more on other appointments, they risk losing paying and loyal clients. So, along with the abrasiveness and rudeness, and this last experience,I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Dr. Chu is passionate about her profession and it shows. She is dedicated to her patients in a way I have not seen in other vets. She promptly returned my after-hours message and met me at the clinic for an emergency visit. She is very upfront about costs and options. She does not pander to the retail-oriented "customer is always right," and is very much an advocate for the animals. Incredibly thankful for her manner, intelligence, and dedication, and would never go anywhere else.

I had to bring my dog in for some emergency stitches after hours. I felt awful having to keep Dr. Chu after hours, but she never complained, never said a negative thing. Her priority was the well-being of my dog. She was upfront about the cost (came in on the low side of her estimate) and provided overnight care while she recovered from the anesthesia. She's always direct, to the point, which I prefer to someone dancing around the issues. I had another dog who had parvo, she told me matter of factly the chances of his survival. She didn't want to get my hopes up knowing the severity of that illness. In the end, she nursed him back to health and he's a happy, healthy dog today. I have nothing but good things to say about this clinic and the level of care she provides. She does need help though, I can't imagine how she keeps the schedule she does.

I cannot say enough about the quality of care, the level of commitment and the love of animals at this clinic. Teresa is AWESOME!! I refer everyone I know with pets to her, and no one has been disappointed yet. She has visited my house on multiple occasions to draw blood, measure glucose or administer shots when she senses that my pet is too stressed to travel. She has driven into town on her day off to help me when my pet has been sick. She has stayed at the clinic overnight on too many nights, so that she can monitor our pets in crisis. And she has consistently UNDER-charged for her services. She genuinely loves animals and works unendingly to improve, protect and prolong their health and well-being. And when she can't do anything else, I know of no other Vet in the city who demonstrates the level of compassion as she does. She is a gem!

Although Dr. Chu can be a little upfront and to the point she is a superb vet. I was at an event and ended up chatting to another vet. She said that the only person she refers to when she cant handle a case is Dr. Chu; she said she was hands down to most talented vet in the city. On numerous times I have seen Dr. Chu spend the night on cot at the clinic with the animals. She has performed 3 surgeries on our dog and regularly see's our cat as well. All of her follow ups after our dogs surgery's have been free and have been very extensive. I really could care less about the aesthetics of her clinic or if she smiles nice at me; she is a excellent vet and is great with our pets.

Wow, I am so surprised by the negative comments! We have been going to Dr. Chu for about 8 years now. We have cats and a dog and Dr. Chu has been fantastic, gone above and beyond! She really cares and does indeed have a large heart! The staff are great - very helpful and kind as well. Our pets trust them and Dr. Chu and staff have really been there for us over the years. A+ rating from us!

Dr. Chu and the front staff were unwelcoming -- no smile, hello, or even looked me in the eye. Facility seemed drab and dirty -- half dead plants in the waiting rooms, brown spots everyone on the floor??? Then when it was time to xray my pregnant yorkie I got a long lecture about why I should not be breeding her (luxating patella) even though 2 other vets had examined the same dog and said it was minor and the show breeder in the States I bought her from said it was minor and I could should this girl -- Dr. Chu continued to argue with me about my practices (I buy expensive girls from reputable breeders, make them pets in my homes, do everything I can to produce healthy, beautiful pups -- and didn't feel I deserved a lecture). She brought up how she works at New Hope and all the dogs that are given away -- it's like she doesn't believe in anyone breeding -- she so was rude, cold, actually laughed at me at one point in a condescending manner -- will never go back! Left in tears!

I won't be back. I have tried several times and each time find the Dr. rude and judgmental. I'm sure her care is fine, but if your animal happens to have dirty ears look out! Abrasive personality.

Rude, bad service, charged me an emergency fee when I was the only one there and had called ahead. Misdiagnosed my dog as having leg injuries when it was simply an infection in the paw pad, won't be back.

When my puppy fell seriously ill we took her here as it was our regular vet. They acted as if they couldn't be bothered to fit her in even in the dire straits she was facing. We then took her to another facility and then to the UofS all who were amazing but in the end she had to be euthanized as she was in so much pain and suffering. Will NEVER set foot in this clinic again due to the heartlessness and cruel treatment of my dog.

I would highly recommend Dr. Chu and her staff. They are genuinely concerned about our animals and have went above and beyond what is normally expected every time I have visited. Dr. Chu was happy to see our animals during an emergency after hours and even followed up with a phone call to make sure things were going well. I don't expect that every time, but it is reassuring. She also took time to explain possible problems and solutions in great detail and provided an easy to follow plan for our animal for a very reasonable price.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Chu and the staff at All About Cats and Dogs. They're always friendly and attentive and genuinely concerned about your animal's well-being. They are also fairly priced, clean and the wait times are very good. Dr. Chu has gone above and beyond for our animals more than once, and I highly recommend this clinic. I love that her staff always remember our animals by name, too!
