I recently had to bring my 10 year old border collie to the Milwaukee emergency center for animals. She was having seizure like activity and at the recommendation of my regular vet we went there. They immediately took Sage in back, gave her the prompt attention she needed. After waiting a short while I saw the doctor and found out she had vestibular disease. I was so relived, I honestly thought this may have been her last vet visit. I had to 'admit' her for a few days. While she stayed the doctors and staff were wonderful, I was repeatedly greeted with a smile and the doctors were very understanding when I asked tons of questions. I was able to visit her whenever I wanted and I am truly grateful for everything they did. I feel like I have my old girl back, without their knowledge I may have had her euthanized. I'm so glad my vet recommended them.

Dr. Lichtenberger is the worst veterinarian ive ever met... absolutely no bed side mannor, blatently lied about my dogs care, over charged me. Receptionists were extremely rude & i waited 45 minutes just for a print out of the exam. DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE!

Like so many others have stated I truly believe that Dr. Lichtenberger and her staff are only interested in the money.I took my dog to MECA and was told that my dog would survive. All the staff did was recomend thousands of dollars of treatments and medications and my dog died anyway. Not to mention the fact of the rudeness and inconsideration of the staff. I even witnessed one of the techs tell the receptionist that someones pet who was in need of medical attention had to wait because she was too busy. These people don't care about your pets they just try to lead you on and get as much money out of you that they can. I dread the thought of how my dog must have been treated when I was not around. With all the bad publicity that MECA is receiving I see they now have testimonials on their web page. Where did they get these people from? Why don't they post the testimonials of the disatified customers?? I dreade the day I took my dog to MECCA.

WARNING!! THIS PLACE PRAYS ON EMERGENCY PATIENTS!!! THEY USE SCARE SALES TACTICS TO GET THE MOST MONEY THEY CAN!! THEN DROP THE PRICE AGAIN AND AGAIN WHEN U CANT AFFORD IT TRYING TO GET ANYTHING OUT OF YOU! I WOULD GIVE NO STARS IF I COULD!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE! They don't care about the animals they care about the money

I was impressed with the knowledgeable staff. Dr. Lichtenberger was extremely professional and took excellent care of our cherished family pet.

Thank goodness for MECA.... My dog jumped from my bed,screamed out in pain and was unable to walk. Of course this had to take place early on a Sunday morning when no help was available, we found MECA which was located close to home. The staff was readily available upon our arrival and took immediate action, thanks to the quick response and personal attention we received, all turned out well. Thank-you MECA!!!

I thought MECA was a wonderful place. They are conveniently located, the staff is warm, friendly and professional. I would recommend this 24 hour ER to everyone. Best of all, they did save my dog.

took my 9yr old lab there on new years day, we were told he had pancreatits an had a 75to 80% survival rate with surgery, so we did it 3,000. to 6,000. for the surgery and aftercare, we go a call during surgery to tell us he had a obstructed bowel also but may be ok two days after the surgery we had to put him to sleep.total bill $6,000 they are very quick to inform you of the cost before anything else which makes me think they are in it for the money and not for the love of animals I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND GOING THERE

Most wonderful place I have ever been to in my life. Great care, compassionate and beautiful facility. My dog was treated so well. I would highly recommedn this hospital to everyone.

We had to have our beloved Sheperd of 14 years euthanized due to cancer. When we entered MECA, immediately we were greeted and taken into a beautiful, clean, and private room. The Receptionist spoke with us on our wishes, and then in came Dr. Elliot. She was very helpful and compassionate. They were so incredibly sincere and warm and caring through our difficult time!! GO TO MECA!!

Beautiful facility brand new facility, Dealt with the owner Dr. Lictberger she seemed very interested in how much money we had to spend. Then when she found out we did not have a lot of money to spend she was just interested in getting us out of her hospital as quicl as she couls and never came back to the room a technician took our pet then came back with some oral information for us and said that the record would be faxed we never even received a copy other than the bill. We waited 2 1/2 hours for that.
