After having a terrible experience at another veterinary clinic, I switched to Spencer creek. Dr. Mills and the vet tech staff were lovely. He explained everything to me throughly and was very good with my nervous dog. They are very organized and efficient, even during this covid 19 pandemic. I am very happy I switched to them!

Dr. Stubbs was so inhumane when I put my dog to sleep. First time I had to do it and the experience still gives me nightmares. She had her on a table, no seditative just injected her and she came crashing on the table. I will never forgive her for what she did. And when I sent her a letter explaining my pain, she never responded. Beware of her and this clinic. The other vet was a good vet but she is associated with Dr. Stubbs.

We have five dogs. This vet keeps us up on what needs to be done and provides excellent care. The vets and the staff are beyond excellent.

I have a 10 year relationship with this clinic, and have nothing bad to say. We recently had to put our dog down and they were fantastic. Dr. Whelan was great. We are now bringing our new puppy there, and I really don't have any concerns.

I have been going to spencer creek for years. It started with a budgie. They saw my dog from puppyhood to his unfortunate passing. Both vets and ALL techs are absolutely amazing. Kind, compassionate and caring. It IS more expensive than others but WELL worth the money. Dr. Stubbs came in on her day off to be there when I had to have my boy put down. They booked us as the last appointment so we could have privacy and they allowed me to stay as long as I needed(which was past closing time). They all were SOOO supportive. I have since got a new puppy and I am taking her there!!!! Can't say enough good things. LOVE these people!!

I love all veterinarians at Spencer Creek. You can tell how much they care about each individual animal by treating them as if they were their own. The staff is very friendly and always greet me as soon as I walk in the door. My dog is happy to visit the Dr as well as play in the Daycare - every week! My cats aren't so happy and sometimes put up a fight but their professionalism truly shows when managing an aggressive animal. LOVE THEM.

They treated my dog without permission during daycare and I arrived to a huge bill- they aren't even our vet.

Bad boarding experience!! The staff member was a bad communicator and the place stunk. I left my name and phone number and neither one was utilized. I am never going to board my puppy there again.

Dr. Stubbs is amazing. She was phenomenal at handling my gecko, and was very knowledgeable. The clinic was good at working around my schedule, especially with early-morning emergencies. I would highly recommend this clinic.

There is an old saying "you get what you pay for". Yes, I find Spencer Creek a little bit more expensive than other vets HOWEVER I find that they really do what they say they are going to do, and they really do_ look at their blood work. I used to take my 2 pets to another vet in the City, and I have issue with a potentially toxic drug, and liver function etc. My other Vet, I think never looked at the blood work except to see if it was in acceptable limits. Thus he missed a slow but steady 2 year decline in the blood work, because it wasn't marked H or L they just ignored it. The problem could have been prevented by looking at the TREND. I paid thousands of dollars to this other vet over time, and finally requested to have the blood work, and I discovered the over sight myself. THIS would never happen at Spencer Creek!!! They take everything so seriously! They are meticulous in their care, and I actually GET WHAT I PAY FOR with them! Quality cost more, and that is true here!

I would recommend Spencer Creek to anyone. Dr. Whalen, Candace, and all of the staff there have gone above and beyond to help me and my dog. I feel that they truly care about all their animal patients and always treat my dog like he was one of their own. I am confident that the medical care he received there early on has made a huge difference in his quality of life. The staff worked with the SPCA and my pet insurance company on my behalf to help me cover the costs of my dogs treatments. This is one clinic that is not in it for the money - they are true animal lovers.

I work as an assistant at a another animal hospital, but drive all the way out to Spency Creek only for my Rats. (I live 2 cities away lol) the only Vet I'll ever let touch my rats since coming here will always now be Dr. Stubbs. Ive done my research, I know my stuff, and I know what kind of meds and procedures should be done for rats, and other vets i consulted with either highly overcharged for services that were unsuccessful and lackluster, or i knew more than the vet about the situation lol. I looked high and low for a decent small animal exotic vet to take my Pet Rats too, and so happy i finally found Dr. Stubbs at Spencer creek> thanks saying alot considering i wont even let the vet i work for touch my rats lol.

I'm on the fence about this vet. I took a sick ferret to be euthanized, and they were incredibly warm, friendly, compassionate and welcoming. It made a horrible situation a little bit better. But I recently took a small animal there for a nail trimming and they took next to nothing off the nails. I'm not sure what I paid for. When they gave me my pet, they told me they "normally have to anesthetize this type of animal for nail trimming". They didn't anesthetize mine, but they didn't tell me this beforehand either. I hope they weren't planning on doing that without asking me. Summary: they were nice for euthanization but nail trim wasn't worth the money.

Doctor Stubbs is our primary vet, and she is fantastic. A couple of times we have seen Dr. Whelan, too, and the same goes for her. I would agree with all of the positive comments below, and wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. The staff is excellent, and everyone there really gets to know their patients well. Our dogs go to Spencer Creek for daycare every once in a while, and always have a great time. And, although it's not something that anyone likes to think about, the inevitable "end of life" issues are handled there in such a sensitive and caring way, that we feel lucky to have such excellent care for our dogs.

I have found that there is variation in quality of diagnosis and treatment when dealing with Dr. Whelan vs Dr. Stubbs. I now only see one of them if I can possibly help it. And I now seek a second opinion on anything significant, or life-threatening.

Dr Whelan and Dr Stubbs are the most incredible Vets that I have ever met. They are knowledgable, compassionate, dedicated. Their staff are wonderful. My dogs love being there...their tails start wagging the moment they walk in that office. I would highly recommend them to any pet owner.
